These finally came yesterday. Dark Transparent Brown Vinyl w/Streaks and Transparent Vinyl. i was told these were limited to 1,000 copies, so i am going with that on the discography page.

it's the 2nd pressing of the vinyl for hawthorne street, but it's the overall 3rd pressing. the original pressing was on Hydra Head.

Just ordered!!! I love me some Forensics. It kinda makes me feel old, i can't believe it has been 7 years already. hope i get #75/75 and a test with mine.

This is a dream come true to me. Cant wait to see them. Both times Ive seen them before they had to cancel the set midway. The first time because the first drummer was "sick". Two days later, he left the band. Sucked driving 5 hours to see them for 4 songs, but they were 4 incredible songs. I never thought this day would come that they would do it again. Plus to get another beautiful album on LP is amazing.

my favorite thing about waiting for awesome records to get here is having to wait for a shipment that was shipped in JAN 11 from Vinyl collective....the tracking states that it has left the same the facility five days in a row...are they taking it out in the parking lot, for a walk them bringing it back in...if not here tomrrow, i think i will have to take a stroll down to the wonderful, obviously overworked USPS. what the hell is wrong with the system? haha...sorry had to rant

i did the test press jackets for these. i'll be shipping them to greg this week. i have leftovers of the prints i did and if anybody would like one, i would be more than happy to give you one. i'll post the jackets and vinyl "art" when greg lets me know he got them. the actual lp package is gorgeous, you guys will not be disappointed.

This record will be out on March 5th.

Pomegranates will be playing a vinyl release show in Cincinnati on that date and there will be a show edition limited to 50 with screen obi strips available only at that show (and maybe their SXSW show.)

i dont think its an issue of joe simply "making stuff for the music he loves". i think the point people are getting up in arms about is how seriously this is all taken. Its one thing for someone to make some art for music he loves. Maybe its great, maybe its not. maybe its just a copy of the actual art, maybe its original. maybe you even give a few away to friends who think its awesome. but thats totally different than making a big deal about it and turning it into a "career", and company and writing up a resume that seriously includes making a list of a bands releases, and selling the artwork, and making public posts claiming to work with bands, or be employed by bands etc.

no one has debated over joe being an awesome dude in real life. people just dont seem to like the business/serious turn this endeavor has taken.

ive dealt with joe quite a few times before and the dude is pretty rad on a personal level. however, when you offer a product for sale, and put yourself out on the internet so publicly you have to realize that you are putting yourself out there for criticism and backlash, and allowing critics to voice their criticisms.

some people are just pointing out the silliness of how serious this has become. no need to get butthurt. so some cool points get knocked down, move on and ignore if it really is about the love of the music.

whatever works for everybody, no worries. people either love it, like it, don't like it or hate it, alright. it's criticism...cool.

joe, dont let this guy get to you. you know there are TONS of people on this board that appreciate and respect you. we LOVE the work you do and are extremely thankful for how great of a guy you are. dont let this fucking troll get to you. who gives a shit about this guy and what he says.

every single fucking penny i make from making jackets for people goes straight to my little brother. he still cannot find a job after being laid off and i have pretty much been paying his mortgage for the past 6 months. so i guess in your eyes that makes me a scumbag for making a little extra money to help keep my brother off the streets. you got it pal, i am only in it to make money because there is so much money to be made doing this. i just want to punch you in the fucking heart, hopefully making it stop.

His work was so great, that I built up a few things i needed jackets for and recently asked him to do more work for me. Marmolade why are you talking shit. Does it really fucking matter that much to you that Joe makes jackets for people. To be honest it's nice to know that you can have something special made for a TP if you have one. It's not like Joe tired hunting people down to make jackets for them. Dude quit being a dick about something that doesn't affect you at all. Also, Joe never once asked for money from me. When I asked him how much he charged he left it completely up to me.
