  1. I strongly recommend Anthony Bourdain - Les Halles cookbook. techniques and strategies in classic bistro cooking. He explains there's no wrong way or right way to do as long as you're having a beer or margarita and having a good time whilst cooking. He's a legend! He loves his Deadboys, Ramones, Dickies, Stooges... An old school punk rocker from NYC!

  2. I hesitated on the color variant on the last release and missed out. It was out of 300, not sure what this one is limited to tho. Also it's a fat wreck release meaning it will definitely sell out regardless of what album. Just pull the trigger, it's like $17 shipped.

Dude! The coloured version of Poets is also up at Fat web store. Just a heads up!

  3. Glasgow...

It'll be a bit inconvenient for you cos the QMU venue is in the west end, not in town but it's easy enough to get the subway into town - or just drive the tour bus over  :D

Best place in Glasgow is Mono, which is an independently owned cafe/bar/venue/record shop and pretty awesome.

Monorail Music, 12 Kings Court, Glasgow, G1 5RB

You could hit up Love Music as well.

Love Music, 34 Dundas Street, Glasgow, G1 2AQ

Hey, have you been to Volcanic Tongue? Not so much punk, but full of very strange delights. Would love to go there, but mail order will have to suffice for now!

  4. On it! Fucking ace album. Walked in on these guys at 100Club when they supported the icarus line and was like "woah! Holy shit!" They were great.

When the 10 year cd was released, Julia (MD bassist) posted it on her Facebook, the engineer for the recording asked why it was never released on vinyl.... She said it just wasn't but was happy to throw it out there and see what the interest was. I guess it's come to this.

  5. On the cusp of ordering Donnie Darko despite intl. shipping.

Anyone know if they still are selling the records with the lithograph? It says poster, but nothing about a lithograph, although it's still the blue pressing that's available rather than standard black.

Right I know this doesn't answer your question, but you can buy one from Fright Fest Originals, slick kick ass prints limited to 100. They got some other very cool ones too. Definitely worth checking out. http://www.frightfestoriginals.com/donniedarkobytom.html

  6. I'm not sure if anyone has posted about this, but I thought I'd share as some may well be interested.

This looks pretty rad and definitely worth backing... Christopher J Ryan has been following them for 13 years, since the Choking Victim days collecting footage and interviewing a shit ton of people that has hopped the cv/loc train along the way: Jesse michaels, jello, fat mike, dick Lucas and jasper, steve albini, bouncing souls.
