Hopefully

Checking these guys out now. Pretty good stuff!

even looks like pikachu's face on the center label.
Cannot be unseen...

Man, people are sleeping on this album. This is one of the best records NSR has put out in a while. Easily one of the top 3 best albums of 2013.
Agreed. I'm gonna pick it up sometime this week. Not top 3 for me, but at least top 10.

Glad I ordered the deluxe. Hope they post these before release

am I the only one kind of unimpressed with the vinyl color options? I was upset not to get the haze, but after seeing it, I'm just really hoping the second press is on 180 g black... cuz just like the new TSSF album, i'm sure the production is unbelievable and color variants won't even matter that much
Eh, keep in mind that swirl as a variant is unpredictable and different. Some look awesome, others have too much of one colour etc. You're right though, the production and listening experience is gonna rule and that's what it's all about. Travis, your comments are bringing my anticipation to new levels haha

So hopefully these should all ship early/on time. I just wanna hear the damn thing.

Also, another pokeball variant!

Two years on from the release of Russian Circles' Empros, the Chicago instru-metal trio have announced that their next set,Memorial, is due October 29 through Sargent House.
A press release notes that the band's fifth full-length found them re-teaming with producer Brandon Curtis (the Secret Machines, Interpol), who had worked behind the boards on Empros and 2009's Geneva. The eight-song set was recorded at Chicago's Electrical Audio studio, and according to bassist Brian Cook, the band "set out to make a straightforward, intense, heavy record."
"We've always tried to balance our metal-influenced sounds with more nuanced, pretty, orchestral elements," he said in a statement. "But this time, it's far more polarized in that the heavy parts are much more blown out and exaggerated while the pretty moments are far more restrained, delicate, and atmospheric."
To preview the "darker and more sombre sounds" of Memorial, the band are now streaming the doomy, chugging licks and brutalized drums of post-apocalyptic dirge "Deficit," which you can check out down below.
Elsewhere, opener "Memoriam" is said to feature delicate six-string plucks and a hazy wall of synths, while labelmate Chelsea Wolfe adds "reverb-soaked" guest vocals to the closing title track, a song that apparently conjures both the first track's melody and Julie Cruise's Twin Peaks theme song.
You can find the tracklisting down below and the album art above.
Russian Circles will be touring Europe this fall with Chelsea Wolfe, while a North American headlining trek is tentatively scheduled for early 2014.
Memorial:

wish I had that 3 minutes of my life back

I have this record on Black. Easily my favourite MCS album.

New track is good. Alot rawrer than the stuff on Proper. Will be picking it up.

Keen to know that too ^. Both the tracks they've debuted have been heavy jams.

The plant sent us 200 lilac at first, and the other 200 are coming in Wednesday. Should have the rest out by the end of the week.
Awesome. Was wondering what was happening. Thanks
-
Yeah, not that long to wait. Cannot fucking wait.
-
Digging both the tracks, not really a radical departure in sound IMO, which is fine because neither was Determinism. Will definitely be grabbing it from Monolith
-
Glad to have it finally confirmed. Stoked. Incredible that after all the great releases this year, RFC still has this and Seahaven to drop.

Got my splatter today. A little bit warped, which sucks caus a replacement won't happen. Didn't even end up liking the record and was planning to sell/trade it. Sigh.

Ended up getting a copy of the LP with my Citizen pre-order earlier in the year. Such a solid album.
