  1. FYI...there is a record shop in London that is selling this for close to the same price as on XL website. They had three for sale last night (I bought one of them) and I believe there is 1 more left here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATOMS-FOR-PEACE-Amok-limited-1-sided-etched-9xLP-box-/181220579990?pt=UK_Records&hash=item2a31969a96 Happy shopping everyone!
  2. This is about the best score ever...absolutely great packaging and an amazing record. Can't wait to have the live record as well...jumping on this immediately!
  3. Don't hold your breath on this. Robert Smith has been promising a deluxe remaster of this for years. What I would like to see is a Box Set for Join The Dots (B Sides and rarities). The cd compilation is a 4 cd set, so if they did it right, it would be around 10 - 12 records on 180 gram vinyl and treasure chest of good music. I think what is interesting about The Cure is that they are one of the most consistent contributors to Record Store and one of the highest selling / pressing as well.....case in point! 2013 - Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me on Red Vinyl with 7,000 units pressed (4000 in the US and 3500 in the UK The Glove repress with 6000 units (3500 in the US and 2500 in the UK) 13,000 units moved through Record Store Day in 2013 2012 - Entreat Plus with 5000 units in the US Three Imaginary Boys - 2500 units in the UK Faith - 2500 units in the UK Seventeen Seconds - 2500 units in the UK Pornography - 2500 units in the UK The Top - 2500 units in the UK 17,500 units moved through Record Store day, which I believe is the highest for anybody through RSD in 2012! 2011 Seventeen Seconds through Music on Vinyl 2010 - Disintegration - .10,000 in the US and 10,000 in the UK Entreat Plus - self released limited to 1000 splatter vinyl 2008 - 2010 The Head on The Door and Staring at the Sea (the singles) through the Back to Black compaign So...yeah...when you look at these numbers, The Cure really promote RSD! Also, there are so many copies out there, if you don't have something from The Cure in your vinyl collection, you might just be a douche bag!

  5. This is definately a bootleg / unofficial relase, but glad to hear that Rhino is repressing this. I have a mint copy of the 2 LP version released by Tommy Boy in 2001 and it sounds fantastic! Basically, De La Soul / Tommy Boy records released a remastered 2 cd version of 3 Feet High and Rising back in 2001. The third record in this set that is for sale was pulled from the 2nd CD of remixes and outakes from the remastered 20th anniversary. With that said...guilty as charged....I picked up a copy at Sonic Boom records in Seattle for $26. Discogs claims there are only 1000 copies pressed, but I never trust the bootleggers to be honest about pressing counts...because they can always press more if demand is high. AND FOR THOSE THAT REALLY LIKE DE LA SOUL, YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT THERE RELEASE LAST YEAR...De La Soul Presents FIRST SERVE. Recorded with a full live band...just a great record all around and I'm surprised they didn't promote it in the states..it was a very European marketing vehicle....but a great record!
  6. I am going to be in London for three days at the end of June and would like to know if anyone has recommendations for stores to shop at. Thanks, Cameron
  7. A few versions to buy, but the Passport version is limited to 500 total...good for collectors for sure! http://www.dominorecordco.us/usa/albums/15-05-13/right-thoughts-right-words-right-action

  9. The Mark Lanegan Band has a pre-order up for a split 7 inch on clear red vinyl, hand numbered and limited to 1,111 copies. The 7" is printed in 1.111 copies which are all hand numbered. The vinyl is transparent red. With this release comes a digital download code to both tracks. The 7" will be shipped in a special designed black envelope. You can preorder it here: http://wmwlanegan.com/products/3-7-limited-vinyl/3-whomadewho-and-mark-lanegan-band-7-limited-vinyl/k/ WhoMadeWho had their way with Mark Lanegan’s “Deep Black Vanishing Train”, while Lanegan responded with a cover of WMW’s “Below the Cherry Moon”, from their latest release “Brighter”. The very limited vinyl will only be available through the website www.wmwlanegan.com which launches December 1st. December 31st both tracks will also be made available digitally. During the past few months both WhoMadeWho and Mark Lanegan have been working on each other’s tunes. Earlier this year, the Copenhagen based trio reached out to Lanegan with the idea of a joint release, the idea seemed to be obvious to Lanegan: “I think they’re really great. They’ve made some great albums and I’d consider myself a fan.” In the meantime WhoMadeWho started working on Lanegan’s “Deep Black Vanishing Train” from his amazing album, “Funeral Blues”. The warm feelings and respect for a fellow musician are also reciprocated by the Danes towards Mark. As guitarist and co-vocalist, Jeppe Kjellberg, adds “ It’s a great honor to get this kind of respect and recognition by a musician you admire. I was very moved the first couple of times I heard his take on one of our songs. His deep voice and this authentic American accent highlights the feeling and lyrics even more. “ The two tracks will be released on a red 7”, limited to only 1.111 copies. The hand numbered vinyl will be shipped in a custom made envelope that will stress that you should not open the package and spin the record before Christmas day. The collaborating musicians have also decided, that on the time of Christmas celebrations and in the spirit of giving, all the money from the proceedings of the release should be donated to support the work of Amnesty International. http://www.amnesty.org/
  10. I've got a sealed copy of the limited red vinyl of Lullabies to Parralyze I'll get rid of for $60
  11. The Walkmen's new record, HEAVEN is available for preorder at: http://www.fatpossum.com/products/heaven They usually do something special on their preorders. For Lisbon, it included a 7inch with a limited silk screen print. For You and Me, their was a limited pressing on red vinyl...nothing has been announced, they usually take care of their vinyl collectors.
  12. Agreed with Black Friday and Pakistani. What sucks is that I live in the US and will have to buy what I want (all 5 color vinyl pressings of The Cure, De La Soul and a few others) on EBay. This means I pay shite EBay prices, with a pound conversion of 2 US dollars to 1 Brit pound and then shipping. This sucks...now, the Pakistani currency conversion I can live with, but there gangster rap is too old school for me.
  13. For the record, I think the UK list beats the living sh!t out of the US list this year...just saying. Anyone else agree or disagree? Talk amongst yourselves...
  14. Discogs is saying there are two versions....what the F? Green Vinyl: http://www.discogs.com/Mark-Lanegan-Band-Blues-Funeral/release/3381268 Grey Vinyl: http://www.discogs.com/Mark-Lanegan-Band-Mark-Lanegan-Band-/release/3370302
  15. So I got my autographed copy in the mail yrsterday...sweet! Double LP on Grey vinyl and as I am looking through my EBay habit, I see that this guy is selling Bkues Funeral pressed on green vinyl...Have no idea if Green is the standard or another countries pressing, but my sticker says limited Grey vinyl...and it is grey! Confirmed it with the seller that his sticker says Green vinyl....Anybody know anything? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=290665560833&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=13690955591

  19. So..I just bought this box set of the BBoys with 8 different colored vinyl 7 inch listed as a box set. I have seen the individual 7 inches around town, but not the box set. I was told there were only 500 of each when I bought the individual record, but now there is a hand numbered box set. Does anyone know what the deal is with this? How many are pressed...how many box sets are being made? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=190617499294 BEASTIE BOYS Paul's Boutique 7"X8 BOX SET NEW VINYL Colored Vinyl Hand Numbered
