  1. I think that it's weird that these were sold on QOTSAs website, rather than the actual Eagles of Death Metal's site. I get the connection between the bandmates, but if Eagle's has their own website, then why not sell it there? Maybe something to do with Josh's label REKORDS REKORDS having the rights to this release.....but still, it's like selling a Mark Lanegan record on Mad Season's Website.
  2. They did update shipping to around $6 for media mail (which is still too high, but I guess they charge for packaging). Regardless, I emailed them to see if this was real and it turns out I just got lucky and got the last one.....sorry charlie! Gnarlywood Customer Service (Gnarlywood, LLC) Feb 11, 13:55 Hi Mike, Yup looks like you got one of the last copies, this item is no longer in stock , sorry! -Carly
  3. Well...I'd check with Buzzerson Killwell up above....it sounded like he bought a few and couldn't sell them.
  4. Well, those extras you have might just turn out to be a good thing. EODM are heading out on tour and have a record in the can, so wait a few months before you relist them.
  5. Well, I'll let you know if I get my order in the mail. Either I got lucky and they found a few a few old copies in a box and then put those up for sale....or they have website difficulties....or it's just not real. Here is to hoping my order is official!
  6. It looks like there is a repress/new stock of the Eagles of Death Metal's first record, long out of print (and heavily bootlegged in multiple variants) for sale on QOTSA's website right now...... http://store.qotsa.com/collections/music/products/eagles-of-death-metal-peace-love-death-metal-vinyl Ordered? You bet! You should as well....
  7. The Mark Lanegan band will be releasing a 2 LP remix record of songs from Phantom Radio and No Bells on Sunday. It's available for pre-order at a bunch of places, but here is one of the places...post other links when you find them please! http://themusicexchange.org.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=5333
  8. There are a bunch of pre-order bundle options available at: http://eels.gomerch.com/?current_store_id=59 Also.......they now have the 4LP boxset of Blinking Lights and Other Revelations for only $79...that might the bargain of the century right there!
  9. Anybody know if this is still going on? I never received a copy and when I went to MVD's website, they are not listing this anymore.
  10. Popsike.com shows that a standalone test press from the Cake boxset for Motorcade of Generosity sold for $77 off of Ebay a few months back.
  11. Ready for the XMAS crowds...new 7 inch from Eels http://eels.gomerch.com/products/mistakes-of-my-youth-slash-a-good-deal-7inch Also can't believe that they still have Blinking Lights And Other Revelations box set available for only $99.
  12. I feel like this is hoax...I clicked the link again and it doesn't exist...any idea if I'm just doing something wrong?
  13. I clicked both links ...both stating no longer available. bummer...bummer...bummer...
  14. I saw them in Seattle the other night and they were nothing less than phenomenal. What a great night...if they come to your town, you would be a fool to not go to their show. Good stuff going on there...
  15. Lets get one thing straight, there needs to be proper vinyl pressing of a few of Sublime's catalogue. For Stand By Your Van, all we have is the terrible Erika picture disc pressing, which does not contain the full album. For Second Hand Smoke, again...all we have is the terrible Erika picture disc pressing, which does not contain the full album. And lastly, Everything Under The Sun has never been pressed on vinyl, so hopefully they will get a proper vinyl box set release at some point, because that contains some pretty great tunes on that compilation. As for the new pressing through MVD, I'm grabbing it while I can. I can't wait to see what Hot Topic does with their version and you know that I'll get a copy of that pressing when it is available, but I've been waiting patiently for far too long to pass this up today! At $22.49 for a pre-order, I'd say that is legit. Way better than paying $100 for a previous pressing on Ebay!
  16. Even the flippers don't want this. Should have been limited to 3 instead of 300 -
  17. I find it very hard to believe that there were 100,000 LP box sets sold of In Rainbow....or am I misunderstanding? Are you talking about the 2 LP box set with the 2 cds? I could have sworn that Jack White's Lazaretto just broke the record for vinyl sales, but that was significantly lower...like around 65,000 total vinyl sales. Maybe you mean combined total vinyl records of IN RAINBOWS (deluxe and standard versions) but definitely not the deluxe set...right?
  18. Here is what I've been able to gather up... The Cure - Disintegration 2 LP - Rhino test press The Cure - Entreat Plus 2 LP - Rhino test press The Mark Lanegan Band 1 LP - No Bells on Sunday - Heavenly The Mark Lanegan Band 1 LP - Phantom Radio - Heavenly The Mark Lanegan Band 2 LP - Blue Funeral Mark Lanegan 1 LP - Whiskey for the Holy Ghost - Sub Pop Moby - Innocents 2 LP - Little Idiot Screaming Trees 1 LP - Buzz Factory - SST Screaming Trees 1 LP - Invisible Lantern - SST Screaming Trees 1 LP - Other Worlds As you can see, I'm trying to track down any test presses with Mark Lanegan on them. My vinyl collecting goals are easy... to be a "The Cure vinyl completest" and anything Mark Lanegan related "vinyl completest"....it's an expensive goal, but I'll get it done! Right now I've got over 200 The Cure Records and my Mark Lanegan collection is almost complete, but they are both ridiculously expensive habits....I just need those test presses!
  19. I'm confused...how can tell how many copies are still available vs. sold already? I'm sure it's simple, but I don't know.
  20. Shipping is now $8.50 for those that care...still a rip off for shipping, but easier to swallow.
  21. Has anyone received any communication about when this is going to ship?
  22. I'm a massive The Cure fan. In fact, I have over 150 Cure records in my collection. This compilation has 1 new Cure song (first new release in 6 years) covering Hello Goodbye and the bonus 4th disc has Robert Smith solo covering C Moon. Robert's solo song isn't on the standard 3 LP for those that care. So.....if you order the deluxe 4 lp vinyl from the website, with shipping to the US, it's hard for me to justify buying this, but I'm going to anyways. The courier fee is clocking in at 40 lbs, which is basically $60. Yikes...if someone knows of a place to buy the 4 LP version with shipping that doesn't cost as much as low grade stripper, please post it here!
  23. Couldn't hit buy fast enough. These guys never disappoint. I'd rather give the money directly to them...
  24. Wow...if you stopped listening to Eels after their first record, you are missing out. Blinking Lights and Other Revelations is an absolute masterpiece. Hombre Lobo is easy to track down and a great one as well. In fact, they are all good, but if her start with these two, you'll want to track down all of the catalogue.
