  1. Goddamn that Drogba collision was nasty. I was ready to trade for Mata but decided to put it off until next week because I didn't think he'd play yet... stupid. Poor day for me, but I have 5 to play tomorrow.
  2. Not too sure of my lineup this week. A lot of games are hard to call. Also, I don't think Nasri will play (much) this week either so there goes one of my midfield.
  3. loved Sirens of Titan and loved Galapagos even more. Vonnegut is one of my favorite authors without a doubt. To add to the thread, I'm about to start The Long Dark Tea-time of the Soul by Douglas Adams
  4. I'm the guy in first, for the time being. What transfers did you make?
  5. Can't believe Everton lost. I almost made Howard my captain! I need Fulham to beat Wolves and a dempsey goal wouldn't hurt either.
  6. if you're looking to follow a specific team, you can download games at matchhighlight.com/forums. It has most games from a lot of leagues. skpd-hd-football.blogspot.com has some of the bigger games each week in HD. If you're just looking for whatever is on, then as bathroommonkey said espn is for you, or fox soccer channel, if you get it.
  7. I had a surprising week and my captain is yet to play. Hope the Nasri situation is worked out soon, I'd like to play him. Fantasy league aside, pretty entertaining weekend of football. Glad the season has started.

  9. Better week than I expected so far (thanks Cahill). I have at least one empty spot though. Hopefully today's results hold me over.

  11. Didn't mean to start a discussion on the pros and cons of Borders, haha. In my experience, I found Borders to be much cheaper than Barnes and Noble (mainly because I only bought books with 40% off coupons from the newsletter and never got those from B&N). I'll miss it for that reason. What I like about the sale is looking through the books and finding things you didn't expect to buy. Looking for something specific is hard when people put books down wherever they feel like.

  13. The selection is getting pretty low at the two stores I've gone to. People were jumping on this when it was only 20% off, which is weird because Borders has always had 33%-40% off coupons weekly. Anyway, all the fiction books I picked up, or looked at, were under 10 bucks, mostly around 8.

  15. The sale is up to 40% fiction at the store I went to. Anyone picking up anything? Any recommendations? I just picked up The Mysteries of Pittsbugh by Michael Chabon, Evolution: What the Fossils Say by Donald Prothero and Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami for under 30 bucks.

  17. Thanks for posting that list. Visiting the parents this weekend, I'll swing by the hot topic there to pick this up.

  19. Love this thread. Back story on my pets. My mom found a litter of kittens last year in a bush, raised them a bit and adopted them out. I took two. This is Darwin as a kitten. and Frankie. Frankie watching the Jungle Book. and Darwin sleeping next to me after class.
