13/14 Premier League Football Discussion
uglyorganist replied to partysmasher's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Italy was impressive today. Spain needs a striker though. Torres came in and instantly had chances. Maybe if he (or Llorente or Negredo) was there from the beginning he would have eventually made one. -

My fault, meant without Puyol. Two red cards and a blow out in the first day. With a goal and an assist, Pavlyuchenko should have started. -

Looking at Spain in the last World Cup, they won 4 games 1 - 0. They may play well but I can see them leaking a few goals against a team with good attacking players with Puyol... Maybe I'm just tired of seeing them win. -

Think Portugal has much of a chance? I have Germany and Portugal going through but such a rough group. I'm interested to see how Italy and France do after what happened in 2010. -
That Adventure Time print is nice. I've been trying to get a copy of the Forbidden Planet print for less than ebay prices... testing the patience.

Arsenal was pretty lucky Foster wasn't playing today, haha, given two of those goals. Not a City fan, but that might be the greatest game (give the circumstances) I've seen. Can't believe they pulled it off. Overall, from a neutral perspective, a really entertaining season. -

It'll be a rough game for Chelsea, especially without Terry (and possibly Luiz and Cahill), Ramires, and Ivanovic. That doesn't leave anyone to watch Gomez, let alone the wingers. But Bayern will be without two of their back four and their defensive midfielder. I just hope it's a good game to watch. Bad luck for Newcastle if they end up in fourth and Chelsea go on to win it. -
This dude put up 5 Refused songs but coachella took down 2 of them... Also has a link where he says you can download the whole show but you have to register for some site and I haven't tried it.

found just the audio here. http://www.alterthepress.com/2012/04/refused-coachella-2012-full-set-stream.html best i've found so far.

I would imagine she would talk about the court case rather than her lack of belief. She's just a high schooler though and probably not the most exciting speaker. I think non-belief will be a background theme to most speakers as they talk about things they do. The Amazing Randi talking about magic/magicians (and frauds), Eddie Izzard doing mostly comedy, Lawrence Krauss mostly physics, etc. This is only my assumption though, so you may very well be right and if that's the case it would be a pretty boring rally.

Looks fun, a lot of interesting speakers, but a bit too far for me. Would love to see The Amazing Randi some time.

Thanks for the Judgement Day video. Do you know what album those songs from? -
Depending on how much the record itself is I'd be interested in getting in on this group buy if possible.

Maybe if Sturridge put in one of those chances it would have been a different story. -

Cursive - Disruption 7" Pressing Info
uglyorganist replied to impact's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
That's a bit too much for me. Thanks for the heads up though. -
Woody Allen is a badass. Like a lot of people have pointed out, awards shows are bullshit for the most part and Allen agrees, ''The whole concept of awards is silly. I cannot abide by the judgment of other people, because if you accept it when they say you deserve an award, then you have to accept it when they say you don't.'' Love that attitude. He makes movies because it's what he loves to do. That's it.

I think this is the only Cursive release I don't have. Seen a million on ebay but always miss out (too expensive or I just forget). If anyone's looking to sell a copy, I'd be very interested. And about the pressing info, I know nothing official, but the ones you posted are the only ones I've ever seen. -
Looked this up on amazon, sounds interesting. Just finished Ham on Rye and just started Evolution: What the Fossils Say and Why it Matters.

PO Cursive - I Am Gemini

What are you doing on Record Store Day? Sounds promising. After years of wanting it, I finally caved and dropped around 35 dollars on this last year. I didn't know the same songs were on both sides, haha. Wonder if a repress will do the same thing or break them up and make it 45 rpm. -

The music throughout is so strong. Haven't had a chance to really get into the lyrics/story yet. Hopefully it just adds to how much I enjoy this record already. -

Monogamy is one of my favorite Kasher related albums which says a lot about how strong his writing has remained through the years. I can't wait to hear this album. The pictures look great too. -
