  1. Wondering if it has something to do with him signing with Capital for the new record...
  2. One time found a bunch of old sealed Motown/Psych rock/Prog stuff at a local Amvets. Nothing I was really into but apparently some desirable stuff. Spent about $10 buying them, netted about $200 via Ebay. Other than that, I haven't found shit except the Top Gun soundtrack and a few other 80's gems.
  3. I'm feeling very...ummm..."Steely Dan-ish" about the album thus far
  4. if i remember correctly, he also trashed the original pressings of his LH records because they also weren't mastered for vinyl. can't say for sure though. I believe this to be the case for some of the LH material, however, I believe LIH was mastered for vinyl...and I THINK everything after gold was....but I will look into this because now I'm curious
  5. Hell, even my gf noticed it sounded terrible and she's not that picky. That's also how she ended up with a guy like me.
  6. Just my 2 cents but jesus does this LH clear vinyl sound like dogshit. My original Gold press sounds way better. The clear Pneumonia also sounds bad, I'd rather listen to the CD to be honest. Not to mention Pneumonia was never even mixed/mastered for the vinyl format.
  7. Awesome, glad you got your record!!! Sure, anything you are looking to get rid of let me know...I'm not a snob, as long as it's a decent play copy I would likely buy it, thanks again
  8. that's true...i guess i was thinking 80's stones is everywhere (ya know, the bad shit lol)
  9. Looking for pretty much any and all Rolling Stones records from the beginning to about 1980 (after that these are everywhere) Hoping someone picked up their dad's record collection and doesn't appreciate the genius of the Stones...
  10. Thanks for the rundown. and nice fucking collection btw:)
  11. Hell, I remember the first AND second Warped Tours. Yes, I'm getting old.
  12. I wasn't trying to poke fun at anybody. If there is a joke I'm unaware of it. I am really trying to decide which version to buy.
  13. That's what I'm looking for...opinions. Thanks for your input:)
  14. the reprise 180g? http://www.musicdirect.com/p-2578-green-day-dookie-180g-lp-43-cd.aspx
  15. any suggestions? I have heard that the black US press is quiet and dead sounding which would be awful for such a upbeat record- Any suggestions? Even better anyone want to sell me one? lol
  16. yikes idk...i pre-ordered the last album and, sorry to say it Tweedy...it just sucks:(
  17. I've got the Parlophone press fortunately, but what's wrong with the US version? Actually most of the Capital presses sound pretty good, but I feel like the Parlophone version is smoother than butter. Not even the biggest Coldplay fan (gf is) but I like listening to that record, so quiet where it needs to be.
  18. A bit different vein, but: Any of the LH Ryan Adams 10th anniversary clear vinyl releases The US press of Amy Winehouse Back To Black (pay for the UK) The US Capital press of Coldplay's Rush of Blood to the Head (pay for the UK) The US press of U2 The Joshua Tree (tons of surface noise) Iron and Wine Endless Summer Days (surface noise) I could go on but...
  19. Saw one at the HT near me this weekend. The cardboard was pretty beat up but if anyone still wants one I would pick it up and trade for something.
