with 500 of each variant, I'm going to hold out as well. Lower pressing numbers and I'd feel compelled to jump. Passing on the 7" since my box is full and I only spin a handful regularly. I liked the single on the first pass though. I'm glad they didn't make it a 10" or I might be tempted if going through Norman.

I know I complained at the price also, but I ended up purchasing both version because I enjoy the band for multitudes of reason and want to be immersed in the experience and own something awesome. I have never seen converge live since I'm from the west coast and you rarely play there so this is as close as I can get.

Not sure where you live but I've never lived anywhere but the West Coast and I've seen Converge at least half a dozen times.  They'll come around again.  They always do.

Not sure if you are new to the label or not but they have a ton of great releases that all fit in a pretty cool overall aesthetic. The Boat Club release is likely my next favorite after the Yumi Zouma releases but the last Chad Valley is great too. Not really dream pop but definitely pop. You should give them a listen.

I have never had an issue with download codes not working but I can say that they are top notch folks and will bend over backwards for their customers and fans.

I ended up doing that.  They said they were having problems with the download code and just sent me a dropbox link.  Super nice people.

This just getting bumped up reminded me of seeing them at Bottom of the Hill.  I left early.  They sounded like crap (which is rare because BOTH usually has great sound), and it's been a long time since I've seen a band be so disrespectful to a venue and its rules/policies.  It was embarrassing, for them.  I felt like I was at a high-school punk rock show, except it was a bunch of middle-aged adults revealing in their edginess.  Rant over, hopefully they aren't being douches anymore.  Was going to give them a second chance at Sasquatch, but they bailed on that show.
