I had the front end on my girl's Mercury Cougar XR7 go out the other day with only 75k miles on it. She couldn't afford to have it replaced, so I had it replaced. My wallet is aching due to low hours at work and this situation, so pretty much anything and everything is up for grabs right now, minus my turntable/integrated amp/speakers. I'm just gonna post the majority of my tradelist, and I might toss in some new stuff I picked up in the past 2 weeks that I haven't added yet. It will be hard to let some of this go, and I will only let it go for a good price. I need to earn as much as I can as quickly as possible. I can also provide graphic design services at a discounted rate for you guys, too. ANYTHING is up for grabs for the right price. If it has no price, message me and make an offer, or email me at [email protected].
Mixed Electronics:
Marantz AV-9000 HDAM Processor/Pre-Amp - This was Marantz's top of the line a decade ago or so. Works perfectly and is in great cosmetic condition. It includes a power cable, professional RCA cable to connect it to an amp, a printed owner's manual and user's guide on CD. $220 for VC members and less if you don't want the Marantz touchscreen remote, retailed for $1999.
Kenwood KM-207 Power Amplifier - Powerful, great working amp. 150W/channel at 8 ohms, 250W/channel at 4 ohms. In good cosmetic shape, just signs of normal use. $75
Kenwood KM-106 Power Amplifier - Powerful and great sounding amp. 125W/channel at 8 ohms. Was in great working shape, think a fuse has blown out. My guy told me it would be around $30 to have it fixed. Shows normal signs of use, in good shape. $50
Roberts 450 Reel-to-Reel Stereo Player/Recorder - Vintage, in amazing shape, missing one small rubber sleeve on the wheel that helps feed the tape into the second reel, can be replaced with one from any Roberts/Akai unit. 100% working. $100
Pioneer CT-W502-R Duel Cassette Deck - Needs new belts to work properly. Powers on and looks good cosmetically. $40
Marantz RC-5200 Touchscreen Remote - Hailed as the best touchscreen audio/video control center under $1000. Similar to a Phillips Pronto. Control your TV, Pre-Amp, Amp, DVD Player, CD player, and more. Only issue is that the battery doesn't hold a charge like it used to anymore. Retails for $599. Since it's programmed to work with the pre-amp already... if you buy the pre-amp I'll just add this in. Otherwise, it's $50. Includes the remote, remote dock, and dock A/C plug.
I also have a nice Marantz DVD/CD/SACD player that I might sell if anyone is interested.
Records: (Shipping will be $4, 50 cents for each additional record that I can properly fit in the same mailer. I am low on mailers as they were mostly trashed a few weeks ago, I do have cardboard to make more though)

Got my 3rd 7" from MerchNow. Still warped. Lady at MerchNow admitted to getting the majority of the records warped already from the screen-printer.
-
Got my replacement today, it's extremely warped and resembles an arc when placed on my turntable.
-
-
After seeing that "original copies available" thread, it kicked my desire to own this record back into gear. My DeadFormat list in my signature is accurate and I'd be willing to trade to get this record.
Thanks!
-
I'm not even opening my blue copy. MerchNow is sending me a replacement 7". Hopefully this one is okay.
-
Got a day left. Go scoop some sweet records and related items.

I got the rarest variant. My buddy lovingly called it "Devil Pieces."
-
one thing I will point out is this whole free coupon thing aside, I still enjoy the free shipping from BB. I mean Young New England for $8 shipped isn't a bad deal at all (I know there are others but that just stands out in my head).
It's $14.98 now and backordered. I would of picked it up for $8

Balance and Composure Sunfire, FOB, No Doubt, NAD Pre-Amp, other random stuff. Bid please, I have a combined 28 hours over the next two weeks.

I may or may not have found a Pioneer Sx-980 at a estate sale today. It functions well except that the left channel is kinda fucked up in stereo, so I'm guessing I'm going to have to take it in to a pro.
But still, a fucking Sx-980...
Score! I missed out on a SX-1980 last month that went for $250. I was majorly bummed.
-
Folie à Deux showed up today. Just wondering if the font on the back is supposed to be printed backwards? It struck me as odd.
Yep. Mine also has a blacked-out barcode.
-
Why are you collecting gear?
I'm testing out different sounds. I always hear that different manufacturers have different sounds, so I'm trying to see what I like best. The rest of it will be used to build a set-up for my dad for Father's Day and a set-up for my girlfriend who is showing interest in vinyl.
-
Tomorrow I'm getting an Akai AP-Q310 Direct-Drive table in mint shape, a Nikko NR-320 receiver, and an unknown wooden/silver-faced receiver that just lists "Model 5300" on the rear of the unit, all for $20.
-
Tempting. Might sell my Sunfire for the right price and pick up this copy. Hit me up if interested.

getting quotes back so far and the lowest (for 100 cassettes) seems to be about 2.75 per unit, cost. thats with J cards, cases, blah blah blah. im also able to save on shipping if i do it locally. so yea. ive been looking to do this for a while and now that someone said they'd back it and sell some ive been going insane, getting quotes from anywhere. plus if you order everything separately, you actually save TONS of money. sure, you have to assemble a ton of cassettes but the savings is totally worth it.
That's what I've been looking into now, too. I got quotes from Rainbo (local) on getting just the cassettes, and I'm waiting on a quote for J-cards/jewel cases and O-cards currently. Hoping to save at least $100. I have 2 cassette releases coming up on Mahogany, as well as a few friends who are wanting me to produce their stuff so I've been going quote-crazy lately too, haha.
-
Yeah, definitely. Where are you getting them made where you can sell them so cheaply, though? Some of the quotes I have gotten are absolutely nuts for a cassette release. I've come very close to picking up a master unit and 5 or so slave units for a duplicator on eBay over the past week, seems like the only economical way to do it at the moment.
-
I can't get shipping to work on Pretty Odd, Store Pickup only.
-
Thought that TDAG was a second pressing? Triple Crown did the first pressing on strictly white, I believe. AFS came later.
-
i actually don't have the songs, although i could probably youtube it if i wasn't lazy. i kind of just wanted to keep the collection in tact because i already had the first two. i agree that the first release was by far the best, although there are a couple of decent on painful splits 2.
pretty sure that blue is out of /600. don't know where the /700 came from.
That /700 came from me typing too fast and not being active enough on here anymore to catch it until now. Sorry, guys!

I have a Cambridge Audio 640P,in the box, with all packing, manual....$160 to your door.
Tempting. The dude wants me to come pick up two items from him that were part of the deal that he couldn't find at the time today, the Marantz remote's AC plug for the charging base, and an older Sony pre-amp that has a phono input. He is suggesting me to hook my table up to the Sony pre-amp and then plug the Sony pre-amp into one of the Tape inputs on the Marantz. Would this even work?
Would you be open to a trade? I have a nice NAD pre-amp I would be willing to trade for that Cambridge.
-
I've got a literally STACK of gear I want to listen to, but neither pre-amp I bought has a phono input (lame.)
- NAD 917 A/V Surround Sound Tuner Pre-Amplifier
- Marantz AV-9000 Pre-Amplifier
- Kenwood KM-207 Power Amplifier
- Kenwood KM-106 Power Amplifier
- Pioneer CTW-502-R Duel Cassette Deck
- Marantz DV-7100 DVD Player
- Marantz DS-5200 Touchscreen Remote
