  1. I forgot to mention that we are also changing a bunch of things to improve our mailorder and make it more efficient. We are limiting pre-orders to much smaller numbers, including insurance and tracking in the cost of shipping, and we have a brand new mailorder assistant starting in the middle of the month. This is a learning experience for me, as unfortunate as it is. One day we will be perfect, I swear.
  2. Yo, was looking for your address last week. They aren't what we originally planned, but we have them. Email me your address and I will get it taken care of.
  3. I understand there are a few individuals here who have a right to be mad, annoyed, feel ripped off, etc. It is perfectly understandable. What bothers me is seeing kids responding saying 'I am glad I never ordered from this shit label.' For every person complaining about not receiving their order, there is 30 kids who received their order in a timely manner. We haven't had problems with pre-orders for a while now (since Sinking Ships - Meridian, which was our third release) and this thread bums me out, but it's understandable. This label is 95% of my life. I go to school full time, and run this label by myself. I put every dime I have into our releases. I literally work to keep this label running. We do not make money. Literally. Around $400 was lost on the Fireworks 7", and we will hopefully break even in a repress. Nick, who is also a large part of the label helps when he is around, but most of the time is on tour with Shipwreck. My point is there is no reason why I would intentionally rip anyone off. Why would I want to do that? I have chosen to run a company in a failing market where bands and labels alike are struggling. I think it would be silly to argue that Run For Cover exists for any reason besides my love of music and specifically vinyl. We got HUNDREDS of pre-orders for the Fireworks/This Time Next Year records. we took pre-orders after approving tests, and waited, and waited, and waited and waited for the vinyl to come in. Eventually I had to leave for 60 days on Warped Tour (a job I took to earn some money to put directly towards my label), and left my roomate up to to the task of putting the records together (when the vinyl finally came in) packing the orders, and sending them out. Between me leaving for Warped Tour, and the vinyl going out, it is inevitable that a few things got fucked up with some people's orders. Another issue was the sheer volume of pre-orders took forever to send out as I am a full time student, and my living situation does not allow for a car. There are around 10-15 Fireworks related orders that haven't gone out for various reasons. The people I recognized in this thread I have contacted. There is no more than 10-12 orders that have been fucked up, and that is out of almost 375 orders. I understand almost everyone had to wait a while, and that sucks, it honestly does. I wish it worked out better, but it could be a lot worse than 12 out of 300 something orders, RIGHT? I am not out to rip anyone off. If I didn't respond to your email it's because I get a million emails a day and its tough to keep track of stuff. Usually once a week I go through all my emails and respond to everyone who has emailed me. If you got looked over I am sorry. If you got looked over multiple times, that sucks and it completely my fault, and shouldn't happen. If you are still waiting on an order please EMAIL ME @ [email protected] and I bet you a million dollars I will fix your order. Bottom line, I care about the people who keep allowing me to put out records. Sometimes life is stressful, things don't go as planned, etc. There are around 10 international orders that haven't gone out for various reasons, and will be all out as of Wednesday. We have a ton of amazing releases coming up, and I really hope a lot of you have enough faith to ordering from us again. If not, REV gets our releases in stores around the country, so if you don't want to support us directly, you have options. -jeff
  4. Agent 7" and the split pre-orders will go up along with two new bands being anounced about a week after I am done with these Fireworks pre orders.
  5. I want to take this opportunity to say that anyone who has not got their order from me, or anyone who has a friend who 'got fucked over' by Run For Cover, please shoot me an email. I go to the post office EVERY DAY and can fix your order super easily. This does not apply to Fireworks / TTNY pre-orders.
  6. No one needs to be worried. They all didn't get out by friday like planned, and yes you will be getting confirmation when they ship. I am literally sending out hundreds of orders by myself, and it sucks. Over half of them have already arrived to the people who ordered.
  7. We have a handful of these 7"s left on green/yellow split in our store, so don't buy it from mr. immediate resale dude. The ones we have are the LAST copies of the first press. I apologize for the pressing info being different. Nothing I can do about it though, and I think all three colors look awesome.
  8. We are currently having our website re-done so it will be a ton easier for us to update it consistently and constantly. Look for updates on the Agent 7" and This Is Hell / Nightmare of You split very, very soon Thanks guys! USPS is picking up the last 150 pre-orders tomorrow so everyone should get there shit by saturday.
  9. The Fireworks 7"s are not available anywhere else yet. Pre-orderers will be the first people to own these beyond people who attended the last 3 days of fireworks shows. They are in transit to our distributor and will be available in stores and distros next week. And we didn't update our site past June, but I sent out a few emails through the site. I believe you have to have chosen to subscribe to our newsletter when you signed up for an account to have gotten it. We are currently implementing a new newsletter system that will be done in a few days, and will help keep everyone updated. We are going to announce a lot of things first via the newseletter so make sure to check it out. Also, add us on myspace as well, we post bulletins about pre-orders, delays, etc, all the time.
  10. Yeah you should be fine. Email me and remind me if you want to be sure, because I don't know who you are obviously. Any questions email me [email protected] Thanks.
  11. Hello, let me straighten all of this out. The vinyl plant took forever. Bottom line. 3 weeks after the master was submitted, and I assumed the records were being pressed, I get a phone call saying the master isn't high enough quality. Once they had everything, it still took forever. What made it worse was the fact that I was on Warped Tour, but they were supposed to be sent out while I was gone by my mailorder guy either way. If you go to the recordpressing.com website and try to make a quote they send you an email saying most plants aren't taking orders right now due to how backed up they are. I made numerous website updates and myspace bulletins regarding the matter to keep people in the know, as well as responded to damn near every email I got about it, which was a lot. The good news: THEY ARE SHIPPING NOW! I apologize for the delay and would like to extend a thank you to the people who are not so quick to assume I am ripping you guys off. We have some amazing releases coming up (most on vinyl), and turning people off to my label with bad mailorder is not what I intend to do. Since I know you guys are all wondering, here's the color breakdown of the records. They wouldn't let us do less than 100 of any color so the numbers are different then what you saw before. Blue / Yellow A/B - 114 Green / Yellow Split - 215 Red - 319 If you want red, order from Revhq next week.
  12. Yes, there are 3 colors now. It was put into the store incorrectly for the first day of pre-orders.
  13. Hey guys, here's the deal, and sorry for the confusion on colors. After we took pre-orders the plant got in touch with me and informed me they cant do less than 100 of each color. We haven't used this particular pressing plant before so we weren't aware of this. The pre-order version is limited to 100, and they will go to the first 100 people, fair and square. Everything will work out fine, just wanted to let you know so there was no confusion. The colors are going to be awesome, and more importantly, the music is phenomenal. As is the This Time Next Year release.
  14. If you're asking how many tests there are, there's 20. If anyone needs certain colors of LOVE, shoot me an email [email protected] and I will see what I have.
  15. FIRST PRESS 50 Rec. Release 50 W/test press labels (not actual test pressings) (I think this is correct; Jeff RFC can you confirm this?) 200 Clear 200 Clear Blue 100 Solid Blue SECOND PRESS 200 White 300 Green There's actually 30 Record Release ( the website is wrong ). Those have test press labels, but you're correct, they aren't tests. There is also 20 tests presses.
  16. Weird, it said the cheapest shipping to my location (CA) was $7.95 for 2 7"s. -Chris 2 7"s to CA should be around 2.20 or something. Our store calculates exact shipping, so I don't know what the issue is. If you want to email me jeff at run for cover records dot com and I'll figure it out.
