  1. I kinda miss when post's like these would turn into .gif threads. Animal gifs rule.
  2. You probably shouldn't read this thread. Don't you have plenty of other action at VC to do literally ANYTHING else besides reading this thread. I never post here anyway, first time in probably.. a year or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0VZ_UGWyB0
  3. "Blues Traveler vinyl series" only 35 bucks a record! Or you can buy 4 for only 120 bucks. A steal! This is what modern collector culture have started. Not to mention this makes up a good portion of what's clogging up the plants.
  4. The guy at Looney Tunes, runs Brookvale Records which also distributed/distributes ETR stuff. I believe it's via RED, I get their mailings. Apparently they both co-release records together as well. Birds of a feather...
  5. You're right. Mods feel totally free to delete my post. I don't want to screw other people with my ramblings. Sorry bout' that.
  6. Ross, I need to use your ebay and paypal account for a couple weeks. Community account right? PM it to me, or hell just post the login info on the board so we all use it.
  7. Would it be redundant to point out that I called this dude out before he put out his first release? Whatever happened to this place having some sort of resemblance of a punk rock culture? Or at least some sort of resemblance of integrity. Sad that people are still going to support this dude. Dude's gotta be making a killing flipping his own releases. I wonder if all the major labels he licences this crap from are cool with him flipping his releases like that? He almost can be considered a flipper even without the ebay evidence, people charging 25 bucks for single LP's is ridiculous. This VC culture is why labels feel totally fine pricing their records at rip off prices. If people are still gonna buy em regardless, why not price em at double what they're worth. This place is a lot different than it was 6-7+ years ago. Dude would have been tarred and feathered at one time. But he puts out Cartel, Korn and Good Charlotte releases... can't expect too much integrity from someone that re-issues crap releases from other labels. This has got to be the easiest "label" in the world to run. Licence release, send wav files to Pirates Press, sell for 25 bucks a pop, flip the lowest pressed variants on ebay. Even with the licencing fees, I can imagine he makes his money back after 50-100 copies counting the ebay flips.
  8. That's a good friend of mine and my labels designer that did that logo. There shouldn't be any issue with that at all, or hit her up and get the rest of the files, she includes whatever format you ask for, probably still has the files. Great designer, Cassie Podish, name a band and she's done art for em, From Gaslight Anthem to the Casualties and everything in between. Really great designer, and even better person
  9. Pressing plants have been insanely backed up all year. My guess is that they do pre-orders to fund the pressings, wait till they get enough pre-orders to place the order (which could be months or whatever) and then send er off to the plant. Really bad way to do pre-orders. I did one like that like 9 years ago, and it was delayed by like 5 months. Lesson learned thankfully right around when I first started the label. Nowadays you can't even really on waiting till the test pressings are approved to put up pre-orders, I wait till I have the records in my hand. Doing pre-orders like this is a quick way to ruin a reputation and/or sink a label. 6 rejected test pressings. I've never heard of anyone rejected test's that many times... another good reason to wait till the pressing is in hand before doing pre-orders. Just a glorified kickstarter.
  10. FYI these are actually available for pre-order via Interpunk, and overseas (Europe/Japan) from just about any punk oriented stores. http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=223569 Tenebrae/Panzerbastard http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=223570 Apparently they sold around 20 of the Krum Bums the day it went up, not sure how many more they'll be able to get, or how many they got. I think it's sold out as far as distributors having copies..
  11. From their upcoming Black Friday release "Smoke" http://jailhouserecords3.bandcamp.com/album/plastic-bomb
  12. Makes sense I reckon. I know last year we submitted our RSD releases to CIMS in addition to of course our distributor, not this year I don't believe, for whatever reason. Awesome you work at CIMS. I haven't done any programs with them in a while, but used to a couple years ago. Mostly good folks over there
  13. Seriously? As far as we can tell they're taking on any releases that any distributors/labels are tossing at em. They're pretty hands off this year, we contacted em to find out what stickering to use for BF releases, and they just said "use whatever, last years is fine" seems like they're being more slack about things this year than in the past. Not combating your post, just wondering if there is any info out there explaining them downsizing it. Genuinely curious about that.
  14. not too many punk rock fans on here anymore
  15. New album, all new material out 2015, and touring the states!
  16. actually technically out Sept 9th. Plants backed up all to hell, Was supposed to be out in August.
  17. Out now, worldwide at record stores, Amazon etc.Doing a short repress already on 180g blue and white, kind of underestimated how crazy good these would be selling. 135 on color, 400 on 160g black. Bio and all kinds of info at the link below under the pic. Probably the sole reason most modern street punk exist. We cleaned off 30+ years of original tapes and spent about 5 months and 3 different mastering/restoration engineers just doing the remastering on these things until it was perfect. Here is one of about 30 raving reviews from here and abroad. This is Vol 1. with Vol 2. probably out in April, and then a brand new album and touring the states and of course Europe. http://www.newnoisemagazine.com/album-review-special-duties-77-time-volume-i/ We wanted it black with red streaks on it, but the plant had to add some white to it, or it would have came out like a bloody poop looking black. Actually looks a ton better in person, and sounds a lot better than it looks! : http://www.jailhouserecords.com/newsite/special-duties
