  1. I would have to put fates got a driver.and Falling Forwards "hand me downs" as most most listen too in the late 90's great great stuff. Although I am with Dave and love the raw vocals on the split lip version I think that's more because that what I was used too.
  2. I will never forget the day the Split Lip version of this album came out. Was in a record store on Staten Island and one of my good friends told me to pick it. I still listen to this record all the time. One of my favorite records of all time. I am also picking up the Metroschifter record. Another band I love.
  3. He guys thanks for the post I am still here. Just had a baby 6 months ago between that and workings 7 days a week most weeks my time is limited. I still have about 7 copies of teenage unity left and that's it. Gone forever. Please don't buy them on eBay message me here and I will give you a much better deal. Plenty on render useless splits left as my label closed shortly after its release. On a side note people have asked me about the new (old) Kevin Devine project. It's the first solo stuff he did that was never released. It was recorded at John lisa's (sleeper/serpico) place while Kevin was still in the miracle. The only song that has been released I believe is protest singer but it's a different recording of it. It's 8 songs total. Hope to have a 12" out next year on struggle records. Kevin wanted us to hold off a bit but this is definitly still happening.
  4. Sorry hope I didn't say anything I should have. Doing the miracle stuff would be great. I hope we or anyone gets to do it. The message board is a private SI hardcore message board ( that anyone can get an invite too) it was amazing for like 2 months but it's very very dead now
  5. So here is the story of my project. Kevin recorded an 8 song solo album while he was still in the miracle. Myself and a friend where support to release it as a demo tape on staten island for him. For one reason or another it never happened. Last year someone mentioned this album on the states island hardcore message board. Kevin responded that he had forgot all about this and asked if anyone had it. Since I still have my copy ( listen to it all the time) he got really excited that it still existed. We are definitly releasing it on vinyl at some point hopefully in the next 6 months. Like I said getting Kevin is tough and I don't even have titles for the songs. The other thing is my partner moved to NC this week and he needs to settle in. I can't wait to get this out. It's super raw early stuff but it's amazing. We asked Kevin about doing circle gets the square but he said another label was already doing it this summer (which one I have no idea) We did also ask about some of the miracle stuff. He said it was more tricky because of the other guys but possible. This should probably have has it's own thread. Hope I helped a little. Seth
  6. I have another project going with Kevin right now but I will ask him if he want to repress this. Problem is he is always touring so it's hard to get a hold of him.
  7. Thanks dude appreciate it we worked really hard on this even though we knew the market was very limited.
  8. Yeah they are some of the best people I have ever meet. That's the reason me and Freedom did this. The booklet shows just how important they where to the SI hardcore scene. The show was amazing capped off with a great tribute to another SI band Enrage. They played slave labor and Jeff from Enrage jumped up on stage toward the end of the song. Great great stuff.
  9. The video is slowly poping up on FB I will let you know when the full set is up. It was an amazing show. On serpico "preparing today for tomorrows breakdown" is honestly one of my favorite albums ever just not out of staten island. Anyone who hasent heard that album should find a way too.
  10. Phallacy was an amazing HC band from Staten Island NY in the 90's. This past weekend they played a benefit reunion show. For that show Struggle records pressed the We Stand Inseparable 12" which is a compilation of the Phallacy Reach CD and Against it 7". For the very few people who remember/know Phallacy we have leftover copies as we pressed more then we knew we needed for the show. This records is limited to 300 numbered copies on Purple Vinyl with a great silk screened cover and a 12 page 8x12 booklet on nice heavy stock paper. http://strugglerecords.bigcartel.com/
  11. Looking to get some extra cash for my record Label I am restarting. Just looking for fair prices. Converge Jane Doe - Red Title Fight Flexi - Green
  12. Looking for anything Wonder Years. PM me if you have any extra copies you wouldn't mind selling or trading. Seth
  13. Chris all I am trying to say is you are crazy if you do not think this is going to cost you customers. Like I said believe me or not. It will.
  14. this was 100% done in good fun, not to scam anyone. We threw in a free CD with each order, didn't charge for the item, went to great lengths to make it funny and collectible (hand numbered glue pocket covers, different color variants, a pun-y marketing sticker). Judging from the positive emails and feeback that I've gotten for the most part people get the joke and can laugh along with it. Yes you probably got plenty of positive email's BUT if you sold 500 and 50 will never buy from you again was it worth it?
  15. I can thankfully afford the 20$ hit on records that where not at the top of my priority list. But a lot of people can not. although it was "free" you post something on a record message board saying free 7" 100% of the people think its a record. Now who is to say the whole mystery box delay was just a story so they could post free 7" to get certain people to buy more from them. It just seems fishy. The fourth 7" bonus got held up and wasn't going to be ready in time. So, we went ahead with the other three. THEN, we get word that that 4th bonus will be ready first, and it shows up before the others After we already launched the pre-orders. there is the quote. just something doesnt feel right. Just do what I am going to do. no paypal claims or anything. Just dont support them anymore at all. That simple. they made over $5000 last weekend good for them. I bet half of that would not have been ordered if not for this promo
