Agreed! My splat arrived yesterday and sounds quite good. The remaster was well worth the effort. Will def be supporting your label in the future.

Ah thank you, that means a lot!!! <3

For those on the fence, my splatter copies are about halfway sold through, and this probably won’t be repressed any time soon.

  3. Full disclosure: I pressed this album

Our first release is “Thereafter” by Save Us From The Archon and we could not be more excited!

Originally self-released in 2014, the album has been remastered for vinyl and pressed on 140g discs. We will have both color variants available for purchase.

Part math-rock, part metal, and mostly unclassifiable — this album is full of fast-paced tracks nestled in between landscapes of layered and backward guitar loops that both transition and complete the album comprehensively.

These will be available for purchase on Thursday, January 4th at 10am PST in our webstore and will begin shipping immediately after.

The band posted this on instagram a while back and the release is set to come out within the next couple weeks.. Never mind them listening to the test press on a crosley, I can promise it's been listened to on something far better :)

If you've never heard of this band (or this album specifically) and like anything along the lines of BTBAM, Animals As Leaders, CHON, etc. do yourself a favor: https://saveusfromthearchon.bandcamp.com/album/thereafter-2

  5. Been a while since I posted and my set up has changed a little, although it's still just as bad

    2 Channel / Music : Marantz 2238

    Boston Acoustics VR965

ProJect Debut Carbon Espirit with an AT-440mla

    5.1 / TV / Movies: Marantz SR7009

    Boston VR965

    Boston VR910 Center (not pictured)

    B&W ASW608 Subwoofer

    B&W M-1 Surrounds

  6. Subs are generally frowned upon when using in the two channel application for music, so it is always better to pick out left and right speakers that can supply the amount of bass that you desire.

That being said, a 15" sub would definitely be overkill in my opinion for a music set up and I would only recommend that if it was being used primarily for home theater (movies and tv). If you have to get a sub and run a 2.1 set up for music stick to one efficient 12" or even a smaller 10".

Unless you like obnoxiously loud bass (see: car stereo subwoofers), then go for it and add as many and as big subs as you would like.

  7. Well I love it, which is why I made it that way! :) It reminds me of a fucked up ugly fence or tool shed or something that’s been outside too long.

I still appreciate everyone’s opinion though, even if you aren’t into it! I’m going to keep using it as my secondary table. Going to probably end up throwing a different cartridge on there though (still not a fan of the ortofon), I’m using my AT440mla for now.

Thanks everyone for playing along. This thing sat next to my kitchen table for 6 months and then took me 2 days to finish :D
