You've got options, you could strip it down and spray paint it or even get some iron on wood veneer. They're not hard to take apart and there aren't many bits in reality so I'd buy it and have it as a spring project, a nice deep Mahogany would look rather fetching with the acrylic platter I feel

Definitely going to make a project out of it if I pick it up, I'll post the results here when I'm done. I think staining the wood would really look jazzy depending on how it looks under the finish, I'm thinking a cherry or espresso color would be awesome.  Just gotta talk my boss down a little further in price and I'll probably be bringing it home tomorrrow. 

I can get an opened Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Espirit model for DIRT cheap from my work.  I'm thinking of getting it as a backup / secondary table.

The only problem is it looks like this

Probably one of the worst looking turntable I've come across.  If anything I would figure out a way to re-paint or something.  Just terrible.

Ah, those are actually somewhat decent. I used one of those when I was starting out, it worked well on very old and dirty records (probably G+ condition or worse) but on records that were in fairly decent shape, or newer records I found no result until switching a vacuum cleaning solution. I use the record doctor V now, which isn't even great in the realm of RCMs, but it is a definite step up from something like the discwasher. 

If you are using this particular RCA discwasher to clean your records, I would recommend to find a different option.  The corduroy material is absolutely terrible at removing any dirt or debris

Back from the dead bump

Got both Akeldama and Planetary Duality today.  PD looks fucking incredible, Akeldama is just regular translucent green. Listening to it now and it definitely sounds good

Hello Mr. Muff - please at least provide the make and model numbers for your turntable / receiver / speakers and that will give us a better idea how to help you troubleshoot. Pictures are always helpful as well. 

Would any answer that Spacelab9 could provide regarding the fallout 3 box really satisfy any of you? Would any answer really surprise you?

It would pretty much only fan the fire from all of your witch hunt torches (see: the ETR thread) so I can understand their choice not to address it.
