The original LP doesn't include all of the songs. I want to say the cassette had two more songs? Been a while.
Most presses of Throwing Copper were missing 'Pillar of Davidson' and 'Horse.' The Colombian press had all songs. Also, not sure about the German press. More info here: http://www.livediscography.com/lcr_sec1_tc.html#rar-10997_clear_usa

I preferred Secret Samadhi over this album. I can't believe it's been 15 years since that came out.
agree. Samadhi is definitely their best work. I'd love to grab TC at a reasonable price though.

holy shit! it's about time. finding this for under $200 isn't easy.

must be because I am in the States but I am getting a different page completely, well that sucks
Thanks for the heads up though
same for me. sucks.

Getting some copies of the Enter LP. Who needs em?
*raises hand*

sigh. I wish they would have just gone with amazon instead of cinderblock. Shipping cant be nearly as horrible.
-
i doubt this will sell out right away. there's still copies of city online and that had never been pressed.
you're probably right, though this album has the potential to sound awesome on vinyl. I think a lot of people (myself included) were turned off that ACBTLD was the same shitty master.
-
I don't see a vinyl-only option..just a huge deluxe package that, apparently, people are actually ordering. Amazing.
there is a music only link, you choose vinyl from that.
-
yeah, cinderblock shipping is rape.

preorder is live: http://thrice.cinderblock.com/

The page is back to normal!
Now just crossing my fingers that WATT is available tomorrow.

i like the water tower shirt but there's no way i'm buying this record until i know i like it.
I was thinking the same thing regarding the print. Awesome poster, but I have a feeling this album is going to be pretty meh. I can wait, and live without the poster.

yeah I just found that, thanks!
Oh man they are still using pirates press... hopefully this time there arent any problems like there were with red forest
red forest was handled by a different label, Science of Silence. Haven't had any problems with their other Mylene Sheath releases, so I'm expecting this one to get the same level of care (level: awesome!)

pressing numbers are on the site (http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/above-the-earth-below-the-sky).
/150 for translucent forest green
/250 for opaque aqua blue

lol, this is why it's important to be clear with thread titles. Anyway, just grabbed the green. stoked!

To me and this is strictly my opinion on it, it sounds very polished and reminds me a lot of DC. I can listen to FSF (CC era) and DC (pre AMAMABAS) and know the difference but this just sounds like DC from A Mark and on, he (they) lost me on that album. I may be very much in the minority but I haven't picked up a DC album since. Also, it feels like radio friendly DC. Yes, I understand the first single is meant for that but FSF was never a radio band, at least to me, and they still built a solid following, even after changing singers. I'll listen to the single a few more times because I really want to like this album but I'm very weary on it. With that being said, I certainly will check the whole thing out once it drops (or leaks) and decide whether I want to buy it.
agree with all this.

I haven't received mine yet, but I ordered the clear, and TR said those would ship a little later. Has anyone heard any updates on the clear and light grey copies?
-
i'm also bracing myself for a mediocre album.
-
dammit. last three albums? no Enter?? (the only one I need) I don't really care about the box, but would love to get a copy of Enter for a decent price.

palms next year??? that makes us sad

I don't think it ever was validated. There were German presses for Mental Jewelry and Secret Samadhi though. I have one of the SS German presses.
