Got to see him twice a few weeks ago at the Izod Center in Jersey..definitely something you need to experience.

Awesome set! I was so pumped to see them now that they finally made it to the east coast. They played: Hey Momma, Birds, Bowie The Desert Pea, Diggin, Simon Courage Fleas The Coup, and one other new song from the new album. They looked like they were having a great time and really excited to be there. They all sounded amazing. I just wish their set was longer, only 30 minutes. I go to talk to the girl that was running their merch (I think Kirk's wife?) and she said that the full length Wild Orchid Children will be out in the fall and the new Kay Kay record is done. The Dear Hunter and mewithoutYou were both good too but I really went to see Kay Kay. I even heard someone shout out "vinyl collective!" in front on me when Kirk was talking about how they put out the record themselves. Hope they come back soon and as a headliner!

A couple of my friends were part of this project The Tundra for a few years and they just finally finished up recording their album. It's kind of a mix between Modest Mouse and Man Man if I had to label it. Aside from promoting my friend's band I really like the album. Check out the song "Local Meat."
