  1. Nope. Black Keys said it's not happening. A trailer for the project was released without the band's permission. http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2011/09/black-keys-indefinitely-delay-blakroc-2.html Also, please try to post this kind of stuff in the miscellaneous forum. People like keeping the board organized.
  2. any of the hold steady's records sound like the soundtrack to the summer for me. vampire weekend is undeniably great warm weather music as well.
  3. If someone wants to sell this at a reasonable price I'm trying to get my hands on a copy.
  4. Picked up the Mars Volta, "Televators" picture disc on eBay for a great price. Haven't bought any of their stuff in a while, but I started working on collecting their catalog years ago and couldn't pass it up for the price.
  5. Anyone have an extra St. Vincent 7" for sale?

  11. Realize this is a clusterfuck. Just thought I'd try to help the guy out if I could.
  12. I just saw this post from Overdue Collection Agency on my Tumblr feed. They are the label that is pressing Gatsby's American Dream's Why We Fight, Ribbons and Sugar, and In the Land of Lost Monsters. Apparently, it is one guy that is organizing and funding this himself. I know he set up a Kickstarter some time ago for the pressing but apparently that has not been enough and he has run into further difficulties. Basically, he is looking for investors, publicity, and/or a place to set up shop in San Diego. If you love this band and these albums, please take the time to read this and hopefully help him out in some way. That would be terrible for him to get this far and have the project fizzle out. http://overduecollection.tumblr.com/
  13. baaaaaaah. just got sniped out of relationship of command. finally thought i was going to get it for under $50. been trying to find this record at a decent price for forever. okay. venting over.
  14. sounds like the mofi's are the way to go. thanks for the advice! i didn't know about them until now.
  15. So I've been wanting to purchase a few Pixies albums on vinyl lately, especially Doolittle and Bossanova, and I know there are a few different pressings out there. I was just wondering if there was any specific pressing that people have preferred or not. I'm not concerned with having first pressings or anything like that. I'm more concerned with sound quality. I know there are 180 gram pressings out there. Are those that much better? Thanks!
  16. Does anyone have an extra copy of one of these they wouldn't mind selling me? That or if anyone wouldn't mind picking one up from somewhere that still has them. Please PM.
  17. They have it at my record store if anyone wants me to pick it up for them. It's priced for $50, so I would only charge that plus shipping. PM me if you're interested.
