I recently learned that "1985" by Bowling For Soup was a cover.

Not technically.... the lead singer's from both bands collaborated and wrote it together. Yes, with intentions for it to be on SR-71's new album. However, SR-71 had problems with getting distribution in the US, so their version/album was only released in like Australia or some shit. So, both dudes agreed Bowling For Soup should record it and put it on their new album for release in America. I think when you helped write the song you can't really call it a cover.

my roommate used to be in a long distance relationship, and everytime he’d visit, I’d wonder how they weren’t immediatly getting naked after not seeing each other for 2 weeks. but the more people I talk to the more I feel like I’m in the minority with how often I’m in the mood (which is always).

I was invited to a high school party by my boss's daughter. She's turning 18 and really adores me, so I want to go but I'm also not sure how uncomfortable it will be.

Also, I have no clue how I'd get there.
