FAR-022 DAKOTA/DAKOTA - Shoot in the Dark+ LP (2018 reissue) Hey, I hate money, so I decided to reissue this discography LP for the band Dakota/Dakota from Chicago. They broke up 15 years ago. Members went on to form way more famous bands like Russian Circles, Bloodiest, RLYR, Lasers and Fast and Shit, JOB, etc. etc. Instrumental indie/math rock that has since been mutated into the emo revival. Only these guys never bothered with any of the pop punk stuff and just wanked the whole time. So if you like wanky instrumental music, give it a listen. We did it up real nice - random colored vinyl, fancy spot gloss jackets, and even a handful of WAX MAGE vinyl copies. Stream it all here: https://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/shoot-in-the-dark
So i was wondering if anyone out there has a job that is just perfect for a collector? Maybe you work for an artist, or play in a band, or even just intern for a label... or maybe you just steal from the post office. I didn't get into collecting until a couple years ago, but for the past 10 years I have worked in the music industry. Between playing in a band, being a merchandise manager for other artists, tour manager / guitar tech for various tours, and even working at hot topic in my early 20s. All of these occupations helped me score some pretty sweet records. Share your story. Or don't.
In an attempt to make myself more attractive to potential employers I am looking to take the APICS CPIM exams. The books/online training courses, however, are fucking expensive. If anyone has already taken this and could lend me the study materials for a fee that would be awesome. If you have taken the exams and have any advice that would be helpful too.
