I wasn't sure, it did kinda look like him, I figured that maybe he put on weight to play the role for some reason, but i was on the fence about it the whole time. I saw it with no real expectations and having read very little as far as opinions go. Anyone who hasn't seen it should. I'm yet to meet someone who doesn't like it. Back on topic.
