skyhasclaws
hey i just recalibrated my counterweight and i noticed that when i lower the needle as if i'm playing a record, the needle goes lower than the platter itself when i do it next to it. the records play fine but is then needle suppose to drop lower than the platter? does this matter? does this make sense to you guys? thanks. skyhasclaws
I think my tracking force is 1.75g if you mean the counterweight number. It's like 17.
ajxd
I think my tracking force is 1.75g if you mean the counterweight number. It's like 17.5 You need to actually measure your tracking force. This is $20, and works fine. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E7MVP3S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
ajxd
Oh and to answer, yes that can be normal. Its supposed to put force down... so if it didn't go below the platter... there would be no force. But its only supposed to be a specific amount of force, depending on the cart.
dethrock
I have a bottle of this for both my turntables. Maybe it's overkill, but I use it before each record I play. http://www.needledoctor.com/Last-4-Stylus-Cleaner_2
