NIN
Here are the speakers; I can't really spend any more than $90, so let me know if there are any better ones than these in my budget. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SS-B1000-4-Inch-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B000OG88KY/ref=sr_1_2?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1413875813&sr=1-2&keywords=bookshelf+speakers My friend is getting a new receiver, so he is gave me his old Yamaha one for free. I believe it's from 1999. It works perfectly and it has a phono input. Anyways, if I have this is there no need to go buy a new one? (I really don't want to spend the money if this one can do the job).
Tardcore
Sony basically makes nothing but garbage at the low end. You should consider saving a bit more for a budget of $150-200. However, If $90 is your budget, you may find something better on Craig's List. Nobody will be able to give you a serious opinion on the Yamaha without a knowing the model. YouTwo
I've seen some people mention these are good budget speakers. But I have no personal experience with them. Maybe someone that does can comment. http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-SP-BS22-LR-Designed-Bookshelf-Loudspeakers/dp/B008NCD2LG/ref=sr_1_5?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1413983865&sr=1-5&keywords=bookshelf+speakers
mjglor
I just bought these refurbished from Woot for $50. However, I'm going to use them for my computer.
NIN
The model of the receiver is RX-V995. I did some more research, and I am now interested in a used pair of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008NCD2LG/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= They are the best I can do at the moment. ajxd
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AJ1C67958 These are constantly seen in the $150-180 range (hell I got them for $130 from Newegg). Be patient. Don't just buy to have something.

NIN
These are probably the best I can afford: http://www.amazon.com/JBL-ES20-High-Performance-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B00167340E/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Any feedback?
ajxd
You keep saying "These are the best I can afford". Then wait. If you're that hard up on money, just wait. Audio isn't a race.
