  1. I actually don't know. They kind of started the thread and disappeared. I was interested in how they were storing them that might lead to the splits. But maybe they did get their answer and move on. No where can I pre-order this new Sleeve record?
  2. I get that seam splits like that don't matter when listening to the record and are pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things. That being said... If I was sleeving my collection and had a bunch of records with them and didn't know why I'd be trying to find out why and try to prevent it from happening in the future too. That's what the OP is trying to figure out.
  3. That usually is something that happens during shipment or if you've dropped a stack of records (unfortunately I know from personal experience). How are you storing them?
  4. So you hate the idea of joining a record club to buy the records that a record club is selling? I mean... that's kind of their whole model.
  5. That's how I interpreted it since the full thing mentioned "Record of the Month Subscribers" a couple of times.
  6. 3 Feet High and rising is the "Essentials" pick. De La Soul is Dead was an exclusive they did on yellow/green split that was limited to 1,000 copies.
  7. And 3 Feet High and Rising should be announced as the Essentials ROTM.
  8. My Amazon order just had a release date changed to March. I don't know if they just are punting the ball down the field because they don't know yet or what.
  9. Yeah... now I kind of recall the art print and obi strip all shrink wrapped together because I thought it was kind of weird. If you have an extra re-sealable sleeve you could just open it test it out and put it the re-sealable one.
  10. The only reasons A Night at the Opera is different is because they were sent to a different facility to be re-packaged because the originals sleeves were wrong. That's why it was delayed about a month. So maybe the new facility only shrink wrapped them.
  11. I thought mine came in a re-seal-able sleeve but maybe I'm wrong. I have int in one of my regular sleeves now.
  12. I don't know about warping but I think people had noise issues? I don't believe it came sealed so you should be able to check it out easy.
  13. Probably only had a real limited amount. Was it the box set or the single LP version?
