eddieruckus
my friend sold his entire record collection, and he had the sickest collection man! He said I ruined it for him because its all I talked about all the time. he said if it isnt records in the fest. He did make a killing off his records though. brettall
Even when I go to shows with friends, we usually end up separated anyway...what's the difference?
cadetapplesauce
you have someone to talk to about it afterwards. they'll know what you're talking about because you were there too. plus it's always cool to have a buddy who's just as stoked as you are seeing a band live. but i agree, going to shows alone is a bit weird, but it's not worth missing the show over. heavyheavylowlow
Well I've missed it now, no way I can get there in an hour and a half. My girlfriend just came in and said "isn't that shit Nintendo music you listen to on tonight", I said it was and she goes "aren't we going then". I could fucking scream, she told me she wouldn't go becuase I wouldn't pay to see Spice Girls at the O2 and now she says she thought we we're going all along. youarethere
Dude, going to shows on your own so isn't that bad. And my housemate thinks I'm "wierd" because I think outside the box and listen to more than 5 bands that are hot in NME this week. He is a fat bastard though, so I just point and laugh at him. He is going home for the Summer nice and early though, so good fucking riddance.
mrc
I would rather go to shows with friends but when going to shows by myself: 1. it will make me bring my camera and take some photos 2. i drink ALOT more because i have no one to really talk to 3. its alot harder for me to drag my lazy ass outta the house. youarethere
I generally get talking to people near ish me anyway. I rarely drink a lot at shows, one pint is not worth losing a place for.
ryantheterrible
go to shows alone. i've been doing it for years because my friends usually have different tastes than me. get a few drinks, rock the fuck out, meet some cool people.
mikeian
yeah, just go to shows yourself if you wanna see them. i used to go with my bro (moved for school) or sis (new travel job), so recently i've had to go by myself.. not too bad.. and if i don't have anyone to talk to, i just look at random stuff on my phone to kill time.. thebaroness
the moral of this story is: 1. Don't listen to people 2. People are shitheads 3. Learn to be happy with your own company
salparadise
bleep bleep bleep bloop bloop bloop white belt. swoopy haircut. overinflated egos. there, now you didn't miss anything! Yeah but Jon Karel, Jon Fucking Karel. The Number 12 are one of my favourite bands, and HtB always put on a fucking epic live show. was Jon Karel playing in the number 12 when they were a good band and only had the first run of rosey red glasses? cause if so, posting to say ive seen Jon Karel play and don't care. Dave Witte, however, is someone to get exciteda bout.
