bossdj26
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere; searching has failed. My KAB EV-1 finally came in the mail. Very excited to use this in junction with my Spin Clean. The website states that all you need to do is hook up a home vacuum. Have a ~$150 Shark and was planning on using that. I've heard mixed reviews that a small shop vac is necessary because of the water sucking aspect. Can anyone confirm if a standard household vacuum is fine? xxsilence
A standard household vacuum is fine. The fluid chamber is built into the model, so you don't need to worry about have a wet/dry shop vac. Even says right on their site " It requires no power, and you provide the suction via any home style vacuum with hose attachment."
bossdj26
Great, thanks! It sounded too convenient to be true so I always like to ask for first hand experience.
Tardcore
that said, you can get a small shop vac for like $
tonyfranciosa
the small shop vac works great though, so if you have the $ definitely consider it. I used this for a while with a Dyson, then a dedicated shop vac and I was very happy with it. I ultimately wanted one with a built in vacuum to save space. chiefwahoo
The standard vacuum has always worked fine for me as well. And while I find it hard it to believe a small one would be any problem, keep in mind that KAB says: Shop vac units are not reccomended because they are very powerful and will put too much force on the record surface.
