Guest baseball
Baltimore Reptilian Records - next to the Ottobar on Howard St http://www.reptilianrecords.com/reptilian/ Soundgarden - in Fells Point http://www.cdjoint.com/ Celebrated Summer Records - in Towson, about 20 minutes north of Baltimore but worth the trip if you can make it http://www.myspace.com/celebratedsummerrecords Normals - haven't gotten a chance to go here yet, up near where I live http://www.normals.com/ True Vine - haven't been here either yet (wish I had more record money right now :-\ ) http://www.thetruevinerecordshop.com/12-04-05%20what%27s%20goin%20on%20at%20the%20true%20vine.htm Mattramone can help you out on DC. mattramone
DC stores: You're gonna want to hit up Crooked Beat. It's on the site of the original Madam's Organ, where Minor Threat and Bad Brains got their start. Smash Records, a more punk-oriented place, is like two doors down. Also check out Som Records on 14th st, which is a few doors down from the Black Cat nightclub. Orpehus got closed down - otherwise, I'd advise to check that out. Baseball knows the Baltimore stores, so if he doesn't hit up this thread, PM him and I'm sure he'll be glad to help you out.

cosmonaut
there was a thread about this in the main forum a month or so back. matt covered most of what's in that thread, but someone else mentioned a place in adams morgan up from crooked beat that had used LPs. maybe a used CD/game store? also, if you have a car, joe's record paradise in rockville has tons of records, mostly used. not a lot of punk/hc, but a great selection of jazz, soul and old funk if that's your thing. also, you might as well see what's playing at the black cat since you're in town.
