Tardcore
full sense of what sound? do you mean a literal test record? Those exist and many people use them. Otherwise, many people have particular tracks they play to A/B or dial-in audio gear. Goals vary from testing specifics like fast or deep bass, stereo imaging, etc. You can read any of the lengthy professional audio reviews and they will tell you what they use and why. Personally, I'm a simple man with simple aspirations. I have a few records that sort of cover the sounds that I enjoy. Example, if a new turntable doesn't make Weezer's blue album sound as good or better than the old turntable, then back it goes. From there, I probably throw on something dirtier like Leatherface and then something lo-fi like the Stooges.
