thebilljim
So, the turntable I'm working with at the moment is a Sony PSLX300USB (I know, I know). My girlfriend & I just dropped a little under $600 on a receiver and new speakers, so we're not in the market for an upgrade yet, but I'm planning on upgrading to a new turntable eventually.I found this - a $79.95 hyperelliptical stylus that fits the TT I currently have: http://www.lpgear.com/product/STPSLX0300USBHE.html Looking for advice; should I drop the $80 now on upgrading the needle, knowing that within a year or two, I'll be getting a new table anyway, or just start squirreling money away for the whole turntable upgrade later on? Guest
I'd save up for a better table, that thing, even with a nicer stylus, is not doing your records any justice. Tommy
Tommy
What Thomas said ^^. Hell, for $179 you can get an entry level U-Turn Orbit which is highly upgradable http://uturnaudio.com/ s_r0d

thebilljim
Haha. Thanks y'all, I think I'm gonna take everyone's advice and just save up for a new turntable. Tommy
