Sidney Crosley
Just finished Ready Player One. Easily one of my favorite books, and I read a good amount. Can't believe it was that guys first novel! Immediately bought Armada on amazon. Has anyone read it? Does is hold up compared to Ready Player One? Here's the problem. RPO is so good. Tons of fun, easy to read, and the kind of book that I recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun read. Armada, if it wasn't written by Ernest Cline, would be a pretty bad book, with overly predictable plot twists, trite dialogue, and uninteresting characters. Armada, because it was written by Cline, is a crushing disappointment. It has some moments, and in some ways is just as quick a read as RPO, but you'll find yourself wanting to punch the book every 20 pages or so because you can't actually believe that some of the dialogue is as bad as it is. It's still worth reading, if only because it won't take you very long, but please try not to get your hopes up too high. Maybe if you go in with lower expectations it won't be as disappointing.... Halo 2
It doesn't live up to the hype RPO left, but it's still a great read in it's own right.

Damn this is definitely disappointing to hear. I'm super pumped to read it, as I should be coming straight off of RPO which I just finished today. I bought a used copy because I wanted a hardcover copy of it. So it wasn't Amazon prime and won't be in for a week or so. Debating if I should read something else first, and read this in a month or 2. Maybe I should so some of my RPO craze has time to die down and I'm not utterly disappointed with Armada lol. jonnystorm777
I read RPO in 24 hours. I read Armada in a week. I loved Armada. Not as good as RPO, but still a great read in my opinion.
Brody
I loved rpl but couldn't get through the first couple chapters of armada. Too cheesy. If you're looking for a good scifi read check out red rising by pierce brown
