scottheisel
From altpress.com: CHRISTIE FRONT DRIVE TO REUNITE FOR DENVER FEST THIS SEPTEMBER Posted by Scott Heisel on 05-Jul-07 @ 01:31 PM Denver, Colorado, emo-indie legends Christie Front Drive are reuniting for the first time since breaking up over a decade ago for a one-off show on Saturday, September 1 at the Marquis Theater in Denver as part of DenverFest III. All four original members--Eric Richter, Kerry McDonald, Ron Marschall and Jason Begin--will be participating. Richter's new band, Golden City, will also be playing DenverFest that weekend. "It's just like old times," writes Richter on the Caulfield Records message board. "We're not making much money and people will probably laugh behind our backs, but we do promise fun." Christie Front Drive were one of the first bands of the '90s emo movement, releasing split EPs with Jimmy Eat World and Boys Life, as well releasing two full-lengths (one of which being a collection) through Caulfield Records. Since breaking up in early 1997, the members of Christie Front Drive have gone onto play in Antarctica, the 101, the Blue Ontario and more; frontman Eric Richter also collaborated with JEW's Jim Adkins on his side project, Go Big Casino.
