seafoamgreen
I think those TMBG "test pressings" may not be test pressings in the sense that we're used to them in the indie/punk rock world. A lot of major labels get pressings like that done as promos and just sent them to record stores and radio stations. instead of making sleeves and stickers for them. I had a CD "test" of "Question the Answers" by the Bosstones at one point and I'm pretty sure that was the deal with that. Not yet mentioned is that Rumbleseat LP with alternate track listing that someone here has a test of.
bouncingsoles123
I just won a test pressing of Chinese Democracy. Yeah, I won one for the new D4 album.
ericxthexred
I have:The Impossibles - "Return" Test Press The Impossibles - "Anthology" Test Press Not sure, but I think one of these may have been on wax for a short time??? first of all, DAMN! second of all, I know that both of them are out of print and I've only been able to track down "Return" but I currently have a "How To Start A Fire" test press and the records haven't been pressed yet. does that count? that lucky britt stole my heart... and my test presses also.... nobody mentioned The Jazz June "The Medicine" 2xLP test press yet. bowserhound
These are exactly the type of records the Co-Op should be releasing.... I mean, half the work is already done.
xjustinxschwierx
These are exactly the type of records the Co-Op should be releasing....I mean, half the work is already done. it's not THAT easy...the pressing plates aren't universal, there were/are different companies that make/made different record pressing machines, so having the metal work doesn't guarantee it'll work everywhere or anywhere else. I have a He Who Corrupts "Acoustic" 7" that will come out someday on Plastic Airlines.
