Makes sense. that was me! i emailed you guys! right on, thanks for that. it's kinda awesome that it never made it out of the warehouse, but at the same time it sucks that on the release day people who don't work there couldn't buy the record in the area. oh well. from what i've been told the online ordering should be pretty quick, and the deal with the record and shirt is a really good price. kouka Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 hey now... i didn't make the call on our records, and i'm not saying color is bad, but making the decsion NOT to buy a record because its not on color is dumb. if it were up to me every record NB did would be on black.also, what about records where the super-collectable color is black? whatdya do then? agreed.. but the urgency is no longer there, so slower sales are probably. i'll make a pie chart later. and funny about black being limited, i only have 1 or 2 records that is the case for (Mike Hale is the latest), and for that I did order the black.. and it felt weird. signaldistress Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 it is true about black vinyl generally sounding better though. i remember back when At The Drive-in came out with In Casino/Out, it came out on transparent vinyl and sounded like shit. i have friends who have similar stories about splatter vinyl. colored vinyl does look really cool, i'll give it that.
