slick
Newer to collecting, so this may come across as a dumber question to some. I recently went to my local record store and picked up a few vinyl (all of which are newer stuff) but noticed that none of them had a barcode on the back cover compared to all my other vinyl that had been purchased at some of the big name retailers. Is this a common thing for smaller or independent record shops? Edited September 17 by slick
faaip de oiad
They have the same distros. So they shouldn't be any different. Could be smaller labels tho. Sure they're not boots?
HoneyFrosted
Some have the UPC printed on the record jacket, some don’t. Some have a UPC on the shrink wrap instead. Some have none at all. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Plenty of legit pressings have no UPC, especially smaller pressings that don’t see big store releases.
