Green Day "Sweet Children" 7"

This is more just out of curiosity.

I have the "Sweet Children" 7" by Green Day on black vinyl. I think 1500 were pressed. Does anyone know the worth of this thing? I know it is not their first release but I hear it is the most rare of them, aside from other bizzaro pressings of the same thing.

I got it for like $30 on Ebay and had seen it go for well over $100.

I don't think I'm willing to part with it for $30. Sorry. Though I don't listen to Green Day or respect them as much as I did when they pulled me in as a kid, it's still one of my favorite pieces of vinyl.

The cover is the black and white photo of Mike's foot. I looked up some more info and found that maybe 1500 were pressed and some of them were pink vinyl. So maybe 1000 black, 500 pink. I just don't hear much about this record anymore where as I used to see it on Ebay a lot.

Over the years, I'd say that record most commonly sells in the $75-$125 range.

You should also check the labels. There is a bootleg version with the same cover but black labels. Sometimes called "fanclub edition".

Nah, it's got the real labels. I also bought their "Slappy" and "1,000 Hours" 7"s and some people actually pay a lot of money for those, even though you can get them for like $3 from Look Out Records still.

it depends which copies of the green day 7"s you get. mine were originally on just photocopied paper. nothing more.. alot like all the early lookout 7"s.. i had mine on colored vinyl though..

the newer ones now are on cardstock
