thomas
I want to try some different kinds of herbal teas, such as dandelion tea and such and was wondering if anyone knew any good sites to order different kinds of tea. Also, does anyone have any suggestions on kinds to try?
Guest genericinsight
I more or less swear by the Celestial Seasonings brand, though unfortunately I've found I'm allergic to some of the flavors. http://www.celestialseasonings.com/ I really enjoy the Cranberry Apple Zinger, Cinnamon Apple Spice, Raspberry Zinger and Red Zinger. Tangerine Orange and Country Peach Passion were both good too but those are two of the ones I can't drink due to allergies. Maybe it'll be different for you though. thomas
I am glad you said something about allergies. I'm allergic to ragweed, and I think a lot of herbs are in the same family so I don't know if I should try any or not. I don't know if I should try and see what happens, or maybe talk to my doctor or something first.

Don't listen to her about the Cinnamon Apple Spice flavor; it tastes and smells like one of those fancy scented trash bags. I wholeheartedly back all the other flavors, however. Peppermint's good too.

cosmonaut
I more or less swear by the Celestial Seasonings brand I like sleepytime, which is basically mint with some sort of herb that helps you sleep.
kurtmanner
herb>herbal tea herb + herbal tea = the best. The tea we serve at work is reaaaally awesome (they even serve it at the Dorchester in London) The company, Harney and Son is based out of CT. I've tried 8 flavors from them and they're all tasty. The dragon pearl makes awesome iced tea! http://www.harney.com

Thanks for the info on the sample pack. Thomas, there is a Teavana up in Beachwood Mall. That place is amazing. Some of their teas are expensive, but there are some decently priced ones that are very good. I have their Irish Breakfast Tea at work that I brew whenever I remember my strainer... I am a big fan of black teas. Tazo's Awake is a good one in my opinion.

Celestial Seasonings makes really good teas. I'm a big fan of the Peppermint and the Tension Tamer tea. That stuff is hella relaxing. And they have their holiday flavors out now. The Gingerbread tea is tops.
thomas
I'm going to have to make a trip to Beachwood to check that store out sometime akross, thanks. I was going to go to the Mustard Seed out in Montrose since I know they sell tea, but was too distracted running around to best buys to pick up left 4 dead (had $10 off from my reward card). I still have yet to find a brand of dandelion tea other then some stuff on amazon :-/.

I've been in this weird situation the last year where stuff I'm not normally allergic to gives me reactions but then my doctor/blood tests claim I have no food allergies. That said, I had reactions to both those flavor teas. Checked the ingredients and the only thing in both that was slightly out of the ordinary was orange peel, that might be it. But I drink orange juice all the time and no problem. So rather than trying to figure it out exactly, every time I have a reaction to a certain food product I just stay away from it. kidamnesiac
I more or less swear by the Celestial Seasonings brandBacked completely. Celestial makes smooth herbals. They're inexpensive, and can be found at most grocery outlets. I've found the Peach one is a little bland for my taste. I dig, and some others have mentioned it, the Sleepytime tea. It's Chamomile and Mint. Their Holiday Peppermint is also delisch, as is the Blueberry. Anything I've tried that they make with "Zinger" in the name has also struck my fancy.
