One of the greatest aspects that I have noticed while running Vinyl Collective has been finding out about these labels I had previiously known nothing about who are putting out incredible records. Arctic Rodeo Recordings is one of those labels. Take a look down the list and chances are you are not familiar with every artist listed. I do ask you to take a chance and do a little taste testing because this label is putting out some really incredible stuff. In the following list are new projects by people who have spent time in acts like Rival Schools, Onelinedrawing, Promise Ring, The Gloria Records, Texas is the Reason, and more. I know that there are a lot of our boarders that would find this label to be really great.

Arctic Rodeo is based in Germany so we have worked out a deal where I am putting his catalog on pre-order, seeing how it goes, and then putting an order together. We expect to receive records in by the end of February. I do ask that you take a good look and see if you want any as all of the titles are extremely limited, all are hand-numbered, and many are close to being out of print.

I also want to mention that Frederic who runs ARR is a vinyl fanatic and is a frequent supporter of Vinyl Collective.

For anyone wondering:

-Ian Love was the guitarist in Rival Schools

-Jonah Matranga is from Far/New End Original/Onelinedrawing (I'm sure many of you already knew this)

-House & Parish is Jason from the Promise Ring, Scott from Texas Is The Reason and Brian from the Gloria Record (although I think Chris from TITR/Jets To Brazil played drums on this EP)

Also, Tim Kinsella guests on that Baja record.

Jonah is a prick so I refuse to buy anything new by him (his "nice guy" act is just that)

House & Parish sounds like an awesome lineup, but what's the music like?

Rival Schools were awesome, you're retarded.

However, I agree with the Jonah smiting -- I always thought the dude was a phony, too.

rival schools and jonah bash in the same sentence? i dont actually care, like/dislike whatever you want but man i just think youre missing out. major man crushes on both walter and jonah. i dont get the phony vibe at all from the dude, genuine from all the times ive seen him/spoken with him. i was close to doing a domestic release for him. definitely picking up the jonah record when i get paid on friday.

I want to thank all of you for being interested in the releases of our small label Arctic Rodeo Recordings. This place here is awesome. It's amazing to see that there are quite some people who still care about vinyl releases. And if they do, this is definitely the place to be, even from Germany.

I expect to receive the vinyl LP from IN THE PINES next Monday, hopefully this will catch you. I am very excited.

do you know if you could get anymore copies of the jonah matranga record on orange? just got the money and completely missed the boat.

i sent an email to the label and I think I should be able to.
