slinch
Let's say there's an album you really love, but unfortunately it wasn't pressed on wax (at least to your knowledge). Then one day some seller on ebay lists that album as vinyl LP, and you think "either they took the wrong stock photo and info, or it's actually what it says it is". You buy it and afterwards search through the interwebz, but there is no info on that album ever existing on vinyl. A couple of days later the package arrives and it actually is that album, on wax! It happened to me today: I've seen a couple of their other albums on the bay and there is no info on them either, but I've never even heard of this one existing. It's safe to say I'm super stoked! chiefwahoo
Can't say I've had that happen much since the internet's been around, but prior to that it happened all the time. It used to be awesome just to find out that something existed on vinyl from someone who'd seen it or owned it before.
pibbals
I've had it happen to me with Electric Six's Fire, but I sold it. I want Senor Smoke on vinyl so bad but it doesn't exist.
