Guest Admin
Welcome to our first installment of "Song of the Day". We hope that over time, this reoccurring post will expose you to artists that might not otherwise be on your radar. For our first Song of the Day, I bring you a track from Bear Vs Shark from their monumental album, "Terrorhawk". This was their 2nd album on Equal Vision and was certain to launch the Michigan band into the stratosphere. Instead, the band broke up shortly after "Terrorhawk" was released. This my friends is a true shame. I can only imagine the great things this band would have done had they gone on. A little known fact about Bear Vs. Shark is that they are the band responsible for getting Fear Before the March of Flames signed to Equal Vision. Fear Before were on tour with Bear Vs Shark and B Vs S talked EVR into coming to Boston to see Fear Before play. Introductions were made, friendships continued and this resulted in Fear Before being signed. Friction Records thankfully licensed the album from Equal Vision and have done a few pressings of the album on vinyl. You can find it in our store here http://stores.channeladvisor.com/vinylhome/Store/Search.aspx?&Page=1&Sort=1&sku=friction_bvstwk. The song, "5, 6 Kids" is the 2nd track off of "Terrorhawk". You can download the track here http://media.equalvision.com/evr105/audio/5_6_kids.mp3. As the Song of the Day continues, you can find past installments here http://www.vinylcollective.com/category/song-of-the-day/. We hope you like the track. zac
Man I miss these guys. anyone know if the members from this band are in any other active bands ? Yeah, I don't really know how active they are though. www.myspace.com/championsofhistory www.myspace.com/cannonstheband www.myspace.com/wildcatting I'm pretty sure all of these came from some members of BVS. I don't know about anything more current.
