shanehennessey
What's the demand for this? I saw there was only 500 pressed i think I might be acquiring it through a trade I also might be getting Lawrence Arms' "oh Calcutta", "Apathy", "Ghost Stories" and "Greatest Story" in the same trade. I dont know the colors so I imagine Calcutta and Apathy are the current pressings.
thebiglebowski
I am somewhat certain Ghost Stories has not been pressed yet.
shanehennessey
Yeah thats what i was thinking after searching online. I'm going by what this guy has posted online so it's probably a misprint
thebiglebowski
There have been a bunch of posts about this record. I think it is in relatively high demand and goes for around $50, but others would know better than me.

dante3000
Slapstick is one of those bands that weren't huge during the vinyl collecting phase, as such all 500 copies tend to belong to real hardcore fans. It's not like today where 300 copies of the Loved Ones are snached up because it's going to be good for a trade (no judgment just stating). This was back when vinyl was in a lull and you only bought it if it was a band you were in to and typically if you had a turntable. As the band got more popular posthumously (with the Arms and Alkaline Trio) more people wanted the record and with the recent vinyl explosion the low number (500) makes it harder to find than almost any other Asian Man release (even Alkaline Trio albums had like 2,000 pressed). So currently, it's kind of a right place right time deal,.

minty
I've got a sealed copy of it, and I think they only thing that would make me give it up would be a copy of the test press. They ususally go for about $80+
skylar
Only two test presses have ever been sold, and they both went for considerably more than $80. Also, aarondanger is a total liar.

skylar
cadetapplesauce: I'm not sure we're going to be able to do it this weekend after all, but email Mike Park (mikeasianman AT aol.com) and let him know you're interested. minty: Sorry. minty
minty: Sorry. I dumb. Nah it was my fault, a last minute edit made it look like I meant the test. Kinda off topic, but do you know if Mike and Chris will be bringing merch with them on their upcoming U.K tour?
skylar
Yeah, they're bringing a couple boxes of merch.
