circlingvultures
Picked up the "Funky Kingston" reissue about a week ago and it hasn't left my turntable since. I never got into reggae but this is seriously so relaxing. Great falling asleep record. If you see it around it's worth the $15 or $16 bucks. It's on nice thick vinyl too. oakland
Traditional reggae is much more like super-chill soul music than what you tend to think of a reggae. Pick up the King Kong Compilation for more Traditional reggae awesomeness.

rocknroll76
check out their earlier stuff too! its skatacular Only familiar with their songs on the "Harder They Come" soundtrack. I usually don't like reggae too much either, but there is some beautiful stuff on there. I originally tracked it down for "Many Rivers to Cross" by Jimmy Cliff and now I'm trying to get every version of that song. Melodians doing "Rivers of Babylon" is sooo mezmerizing as well.
