fondfarewell
was visiting a bud in toronto one year and he's like "hey, lets go check out this band, you'll like em" Apologies hadnt come out yet. Dark dank gothy club in the basement of some hole. Was drunk and negotiated the cover with the bouncer, surprised i got in and didnt get knocked out. Was during a nxne or something. AMAZING. super fan since.. well up until zoomer, then i just gave up on em and cuddled apolgies. Saw em back here in Victoria a time or two as well. I bet that was the Comfort Zone in Toronto. I saw them open for Modest Mouse at the Kool Haus in 2004. Spencer was doing their "merch" (i.e. just those silkscreened CD-R copies of their first EP) and I still remember how surprised he seemed that I wanted to buy two copies. WAXXX
anyone know how to reach free news projects in philly? they were the ones selling the run of 1,500 mount zoomer pic discs. their website is broken and hasn't been updated in ages, their facebook account is no longer active, and they haven't tweeted since trying to sell the mount zoomer pic disc back in 2009. azvd
At Mount Zoomer is kind of a slow burner next to Apologies. But it's a fantastic album, sounds a bit psychedelic and it works.
