roadmonkey
I am moving out of my apartment into my new house and need to move about 400-500 records. I need to find the best and easiest way to pack these up for the movers. Does anyone have any advise on boxes (I don't want to do cardboard). I tired looking for milk crates, but am having a hard time finding any. I tired some plastic storage boxes, but they were too short to securely attach the lid. Any Ideas

Guest eriathomas
I used giant rubbermaid bins when I moved, and just filled in the gaps with bubble wrap. It kept the nice and tight.
xjustinxschwierx
if you buy 13x13x13 boxes from any box distributor you're set. they're fuckin heavy, but as look as you fill them up you'll have no issue with damage, unless you drop them...otherwise I don't know what to tell you... scottheisel
Drive around to the back of any given supermarket after hours. Milk crates are definitely not hard to come by.

biggiesized
I got 2 of those record crate deals a long time ago (they look like tomato crates, but for records) and those worked. Also, Wendy's french fry boxes(the ones the bags of fries are put in) are the right dimensions for 12 inches, IF you need to haul them in a box.
