ronniethebear
A couple friends and I keep discussing this. After Perfect Pitch Black everybody kinda "went their separate ways" with Zozobra, Clouds, and Brodsky's solo stuff. Now he's doing Pet Genius with J.R. and all I can think is, "Hey Cave In, your other shit is good and all, and it's nice that you can express yourselves musically in different ways, but seriously QUIT FUCKING AROUND." robotnerd
meh, if it's anything like perfect pitch black or antenna then you can color me totally unexcited.
ronniethebear
Dude, both records are fucking great. I think you need to give them a serious re-listen. All their stuff is good in its own way.
robotnerd
meh, you're entitled to your own opinion. i recently gave perfect pitch black a relisten, and i still don't like it. i think antenna is an interesting record. but it's bottom of the barrel as far as cave-in goes. xfedaykinx
antenna was a major disappointment and ppb was only a baby step back in the right direction

oakland
Yes, they will. My Zozobra story, which SHOULD be in the next issue of Thrasher, will reveal details. And I agree about the relisten. I didn't really like PPB when it came out, then I listened to it again a few weeks later. It' s a pretty awesome record according to just about any standard. mattisr1984
how could anyone not like PPB after antenna? i actually dig antenna and all of their other albums. PPB was awesome in my book. brought back some of the heaviness of the older stuff with the cleaner sounding material. totally into it. until your heart stops will always be the classic but everything this band has done is solid. even for antenna's total mainstream effort, it was way better than what albums like that usually are. zozobra is some awesome stuff as was octave museum and brodskys solo stuff. im not too into clouds but pet genius sounds promising. i definitely want another cave in record! Guest vito
i'm not into brodsky's solo stuff and i'm totally not into pet genius. nothing compares to cave in. zozobra is pretty good but i'd rather listen to old man gloom.
oakland
They are all awesome in my book. I even like Antenna, I'm not going to lie. For a commercial rock record it was awesome. It's only bad when you realize it's Cave In and compared to Jupiter what doesn't suck? Aside from Into Another, Jupiter-era Cave In the best band ever in my opinion. oakland
I was talking about bands. Clearly none of Cave In's records sucks and "Until Your Heart Stops" couldn't be further from suckiness.
