hickey
I have two tickets and likely can't go to Dropkick Murphys last show at the Avalon before they close it down and turn it into a massive dance club. It's Sunday, Sept. 30. For those who don't know, Avalon is the band's essential home base, they play there every St. Patrick's Day weekend and it's the best club to catch them. Figured I'd offer the tickets up here before hitting craigslist or ebay...note, they're going for a pretty penny on ebay right now. Make an offer if you want them. kurtmanner
Man, I can't believe I didn't hear about this whole Avalon thing. I remember seeing some awesome shows there. However, I like the Axis a bit more due to it's size. I'm assuming that's closing as well? One time I saw The Get Up Kids at the Axis and Murphy's Law were playing next door at the Avalon. Both shows getting out at the same time wasn't a great idea. There were dudes trying to fight people everywhere, including Matt Pryor. Hilarious. ps
I didn't know they were closing. I never really liked the place, last time I went for a show they shoo-ed every one out by 10:30pm so the dance club could open.

I kind of understand it, but I feel like they wouldn't have to be so rude with some better organization.
benchwarmer
They're closing Avalon and Axis and combining them together to form one massive club. shitty. middle east ftw.
jhulud
Damn. That really sucks. The few, rather many, times that I have been to Boston, I caught a few shows at both venues. I liked them.
