The Ergs! / Grabass Charlestons

Atom and His package - Behold, I shall do a new thing

Karma Elektra - S/T

Shot Baker - Vacation Bible School - A Tribute to the Vindictives (My Favourite)

And I think Soap & Lampshades by the Dopamines will go down as one of my favourite in years to come.

Rivethead - City Sound Number Five

Fuck Yeahs - No Farts

Song of Zarathustra - Bote Des Zorns

Lawrence Arms - Buttsweat and Tears

Tuesday - Early Summer

Traitors - Bring Me The Head of Matt Skiba

apparently i only like bands from mpls and chicago... although, the recent flatliners and paint it black eps were also pretty great, i just havent listened to either quite enough to solidify them in the lineup.

^^^ Jimmy, good call on those Vindictives records! ^^^

Off the top of my head:

Apocalypse Hoboken - Strikes Back

Apocalypse Hoboken - Date Rape Nation (2x7", does that count?)

Apocalypse Hoboken/Sidekick Kato split

Charles Bronson/Spazz split

I'm sure there's more that I've practically worn out, but I need to watch football!

yeah, that's a great record. the "... has anxiety song"s are my favorites. my band just played with them on Friday, they always put on a great show.

also, it's great to see people lovin the vindictives! i gotta give my "Nuthin' for christmas" 7" a spin this week

CIB Social Climber

because Sausages? is my favorite CIV song

Cutman 2x7" set

because all 5 of these songs are perfect

Obits One Cross Apiece

quite possibly the best 2 song 7" ever

New Bruises Goodbye Middle Class

all label bias aside, aside from these songs being simply amazing, aside form the fact that through this 7" Bryon and Eric got me to start reading Kurt Vonnegut books, this record represnts my friendship with some of the best people I've gotten to know through music.

New Bruises / the Measure

because the Measure songs are that fucking good...

Kill Your Idols / Modern Life is War live on WLUW

because this was my radio show they played on

Jud Jud the demos

because this record is positively hilarious to me and infuriatingly annoying to 99% of the world

Alkaline Trio Sundials

just because...there's a long story about how I got it, but it's personal and I'm sure no one cares enough to know.

That Rivethead 7" is great. I always wished that more people would have gotten into them. Just wasn't what was popular at the time, especially here in the TC. too much mosh metal...

at least dear landlord finally picked that torch back up. don't get me wrong, i love off with their heads, dillinger four, banner pilot, etc. but rivethead always struck the most personal chord with me.

see and to me it was always st paul = metal (station 4, fireball espresso cafe)

and minneapolis had the punk stuff (foxfire then triple rock, extreme noise)

i know thats not definitive by any stretch, but just the feeling i always got.
