jayeffscene
Anybody else heard this? I lucked into a promo copy and had never heard of them, and the record sleighs (get it, 'cause it's Christmas!) If you dig the punk songs that Converge does, get at this. A bit repetitive, but worth hearing.
tributefanzine
My friend is worshipping them. I remember when I have seen No Fun At all in Luxemburg and there was a distro guy who sold this LP.... My friend was like "PLEASE BORROW ME THESE 12 BUCKS TO BUY THE NEW DEAD SWANS LP"......For myself: I took a listen to it but I got the impression that someone tries to be American Nightmare again..... I am still more into listening to AN instead of Dead Swans, Dead Hearts, Sworn In etc...............
jayeffscene
Never listened to American Nightmare. They could be totally rehashing their shit. Best place to start for AN?
tributefanzine
The 2 EPs were decent but BACKGROUND MUSIC was the heavyweight output. On their first Eurpean tour their frontmann Wes used to be a total rage of a person haha.... I am not a fan of the Give Up The Ghost releases! mattisr1984
mmm i dont think this album sounds anything like AN / GUTG did. but it is pretty decent.
riddle350
I need to hear this. I heard one song awhile back and wasn't too into it but they ruled when I saw them opening for Comeback Kid. Jack. Get everything American Nightmare/Give Up The Ghost did.
tributefanzine
@ Matt: Thats what all their fans say, haha.... Ok lets say like AN with a rougher touch. I would even consider some riffs as "NY"......
jordan999
i dig this album, slight resemblance to this is hell "misfortunes"
scully
Good album, better then most of the reviews I've read. I agree it can get a bit repetitive though.
tomleggett
The album seems pretty decent but I think their first EP Southern Blue is better, probably just because I've had it longer and need to get into Sleepwalkers. I have a I <3 DS shirt (in the style of I <3 NY) I think people think I love the Nintendo DS
