beachmont
I'm 90% positive, I'm moving to the Harrisburg area from Boston for a year. What can I expect? Any help, hints, or advice would be greatly appreciated.
kurtz
Expect driving to Philly for any shows you want to go to. haha. I live about 45min. north of Harrisburg so I'm not overly familiar with the city. I'm sure Allison will tell you all about it though. andrew13
W-B and Lancaster both seem to get decent shows out that way too. plus you have the Harrisburg Senators if you like baseball, and Hershey Bears and WBS Pens for hockey.

beachmont
i really don't know too much about the area, whats around for snowsports? any indoor sports complexes or street hockey leagues?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
what are you moving down here for? you got a job offer? any idea what part of the city you'll be living in? be ready to live in an area that gets crippled by 3 inches of snow. once you cross the appalachian mountains in central PA going east, its like a different world in terms of how people drive in the winter. I am certain there are street hockey leagues with an AHL team 30 minutes away.
lonesomexloveus
i really don't know too much about the area, whats around for snowsports? any indoor sports complexes or street hockey leagues? ski roundtop is around 20 minutes away. there's a couple sports complexes like that; climbnasium and sports emporium in carlisle (25ish minutes away), sports city (indoor soccer) in harrisburg, and there's one in hershey, too. i know there's at least one ice hockey league, cuz i know some guys who play in it, but i'm not sure about street hockey.
