mkuborn
Foxy's new record/song was featured on the damn superbowl nfl comercial!! Check this article out, i heard it a few min ago and was dumbfounded. I had no idea they were getting this big. Pretty awesome. http://bandweblogs.com/blog/2010/02/03/foxy-shazam-unstoppable-to-be-featured-during-2010-super-bowl/
sirrichardrichard
I'm sure this will get moved to the other one, but before it does.....I'm more surprised that the Arcade Fire's Wake Up was played during the commercial for the NFL draft - I would assume the licensing money is going to Partners In Health. Either that or they have had a profound ideological shift.

adamlikesmusic
That Arcade Fire song was played like half a dozen times.
Guest
I heard "Sequestered in Memphis" by The Hold Steady over some montage during the pre-game. Thought that was pretty cool.
mkuborn
Sorry about the double thread. I would say hearing Arcade Fire on the superbowl is WAY more likely than Foxy Shazam. I mean Arcade is a commercially successful band where as Foxy is a little know weird-core band that is headed by a guy that hates white people and eats cigarettes. haha. I was happy and sad all at once, it's like seeing a ful room at your local dive bar. You really want it to be empty so you can call it your place but at the same time are happy the bar is making money.
adamlikesmusic
If Foxy Shazam made good music, they'd probably be featured on even more commercials. Hey-o.
mediocore
That Arcade Fire song was played like half a dozen times. Yeah, it seems like ever since the Where the Wild Things Are trailer (where it was a perfect fit) that song's been everywhere.
