Guest falloutcollapse
The more and more I go to shows, local or not, the more I realize that it's really not worth it if you don't like the band. I've seen tons of bands I don't like, and I normally don't like it, obviously. But when I see a band I love, the crowd doesn't matter, even if it does suck. I'm just glad to be there. jhulud
If you're that bummed out on shows, you're going to the wrong shows. That's the thing...I have been going to all the right shows...all of the shows that I go/have been to, are of bands that I am a fan of and enjoy the music. It's just that lately I mostly don't give a shit and am annoyed at the opening/support bands because I don't like them or their music... But at the root of it all, my discontent has been the expenses and crowds...

If I'm seeing a band that I absolutely love than it's always worth it. Even if everything else about the show sucks at least for the one set it's amazing and it makes it all worth it for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
how many of those shows would you go too if they werent for free? It's a tough call, because who knows what I would be doing with my life. But I'd like to think the correct answer would be "As many as possible." Remember, my wallet doesn't get dented from a bar tab at these shows, either, so pretty much all my disposable income is spent on music (either in recorded or live formats). my wallet doesn't get dented from bars either. i dont think its hard to answer, would you have gone to the shows you went too for free if you had to pay instead?
